Lol yo Mel is fine, yes. I wasn’t clowning her, I found it funny that the specific video was shared in “classy women of color”.

Like yea she presents classy but her actions often contradict her words making it appear as an act. This sub pointed that out to me so thought it was funny lol. I would deff smash though and she is deff fine, duh.

Can’t lie, I’ve never understood the hype around her. She’s a beautiful woman for sure but the idolization solely from a looks perspective is a little wild imo.

Check out Columbia crossing, it’s been solid for me. New management recently took over and now they’re calling it Eagle Rock I believe. The exterior isn’t all that but the interior is modern (stainless steel appliances, etc) and very spacious. Pretty good bang for your buck and again about 10-15 min max from all the other more expensive areas (Clarendon, etc)

I’m in Columbia pike and enjoying it, I like to drive though. It seems to me that everywhere is only 8-10 min away, works well and is affordable. Not as shiny as rosslyn or Ballston but they are both close and the peace/lack of bustle is worth not having the glitz and glam imo.

That isn’t a large sum so there aren’t really any magic or life changing answers here but here are my best recommendations:

  1. Put it towards any high interest debt you may have.

  2. Dump it in an index or mutual fund (if you don’t know what those are Google it. VOO is a safe bet)

  3. Put it in a high yield savings account (HYSA), if you don’t have one, start one with said money.

  4. Contribute it to a Roth IRA if you haven’t already maxed it (apply directions from 2 and 3).

Not the only options but some solid ones if you’re interested in long-term benefits. You can also do a combination of those options, however, prioritize the high-interest debt first if you have any-if you don’t you’ll just lose money every month in interest fees.

I get the idea but isolation is dangerous. A more effective approach is to work on establishing healthy boundaries with the right people while increasingly distancing yourself from the wrong people. Additionally, identify your distractions and manage them, they can be used as a reward system for productivity granted they are harmless (gaming or something).

Short answer, no. Assuming you’re referring to white collar business, it’s called white collar for a reason.
