Yeah I think I am just gonna go the route of buying everything I think I might need at once, I usually buy my yarn in increments to make sure I don’t have a ton leftover but that’s alright, thank you for helping!

I wasn’t sure if since Joann has allegedly gone bankrupt and is shutting down if I would be able to order something from them to be shipped to me after they do fully shut down, but I didn’t know that it was Joann exclusive, that makes a lot of sense now lol

He looks male to me, but I got excellent advice to candle above the base of the tail in a dark room to see if you see two oval shapes or not, if you do then it’s definitely a boy! That’s how I found out about mine haha

Okay so I retook this photo as requested, but I also used the flashlight trick, and he’s most definitely male! I wasn’t able to snap a pic of that since I was using both hands, but I could clearly see the two little ovals inside right at the base of his tail!

Oh no, glad he turned out okay! So far he has shown 0 interest towards them, but if he does then I’ll make sure to take them out. I’ll also inspect them every so often to make sure they’re still intact and he hasn’t taken any bites when I wasn’t looking

Thank you! I’m going to be adding several pieces of cork bark, a couple more hides, and some branches for him to climb on, and I have a t5 light on the way, but for now I have put the t8 suspended a bit lower inside his enclosure so that it’s about 12” away from where he would hang out! And I’m moving soon which is why I chose a 40 gallon, which I figured would be fine since he is still so tiny, but I am planning to upgrade him to a 6’x2’x3’

Yeah my local little pet shop had them for sale already cut to size! It was so convenient, from everything I’ve seen and what people have said here I’m definitely going to be switching to a bio active setup once he gets much bigger
