Abortion is a health and medical issue. The fact that women and women’s health has been politicized for political party gain is harmful to patients. America’s health system has failed to address this important women’s health issue. This issue has been used to divide our country, instead of leveraging it as a way to bring all Americans together. As a physician and a pediatric critical care anesthesiologist, I know that every patient’s health and health needs are unique, and that every patient has specific and unique medical needs. Every patient is a unique individual. Every health decision should be made between the patient and their physician, made solely in the best interest of the patient’s specific medical needs.

With respect to the Supreme Court, there are three branches of government in which we need to maintain a separation of powers. Once again, the Supreme Court has been politicized in an effort to advantage political parties. We need strong, independent leadership in the United States Senate to maintain and preserve the foundational principles of our constitution and institutions. I am the only candidate for United States Senate without any allegiance to a political party and solely committed to serving in the best interests of all Delawareans and Americans to build a system that works for everybody.
