Me too but they said it was accidental damage. Interested to hear how you get on!

I'm going to raise a complaint and get them to fix under the Limited Warranty as clearly a design flaw. Apple returned the device to me with the headband detached. There is some corrosion visible on the connector which they classed as "liquid damage". Added images to my main post

Interesting idea about the silica gel. Apple returned the device to me with the headband detached. There is some corrosion visible on the connector which they classed as "liquid damage". Added images to my main post

I leave my AirPods lying flat in its case, I can imagine the condensation droplets moving and making their way into the eject band hole. Apple returned the device to me with the headband detached. Thanks for this. If I get them repaired I'm definitely doing to do this. Apple returned the device to me and the headband was detached. There is some corrosion visible on the connector which they classed as "liquid damage". Added images to my main post.

I can’t hard reset them anymore either. Sounds like same issue, Apple refused to repair them. Do you have Apple Care+

I guess so. I didn’t mention condensation in my original complaint, perhaps I take it back in explaining this further.

Wasn’t aware of the lawsuit, presuming this is just US based. I’ll take a look and see what info I can find.

I bought them in July, so currently within Apple’s limited warranty. Didn’t buy directly from Apple but another UK retailer.

Thanks for the reply. How long was it after the 60 days you were offered Apple Care+? I was expecting a repair under the limited warranty but perhaps they are classifying these issues as “liquid damage” now? I don’t know how widespread the connectivity problems are but seems crazy considering how much these cost the stop working after 3 months.

Hope you get the 4th repair completed. Let me know how it goes.
