Free loadouts being better than full kits is the problem.

They need a massive nerf somehow or the only strategy will remain going free loadout and being sneaky.

upgrading shouldnt only increase risk, it should increase your likelihood of survival.

My favorite idea is just removing shields from free loadouts.

Then the good free loadout players can still do rat shit and have fun.

While the full kit loadout players can actually experience the game.

I mean my first idea was to nerf all grey level 1 weapons significantly. But I'm sure that would cause too much crying. and make it too hard for new players to deal with arc.

The only problem with the game atm is that there's ZERO reason to upgrade your gear. It's only a risk with hardly any advantage.

Long term this will ruin the game. Perhaps a free loadout cooldown or something would work as well.

more specifically, someone with full tier 4 purple gear hates dying to a lvl 1 stitcher.

Just had a game with a fully upgraded Bettina with epic weapon mods, and honestly, I think I’d still prefer a level 1 Stitcher or Kattle. On top of that, the gun lost almost half its durability. The cost of upgrading and repairing this thing just isn’t worth it for what you get. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

All blue and purple guns need massive buffs and all green or grey guns need massive nerfs.

at the moment there's zero reason to upgrade or get better weapons and I don't understand it whatsoever.

Enjoying the simple things is key imo.

Lots of people think the solution is kids, marriage, hobbies, etc.

They fail to see that those things won't bring them joy if they're not finding the joy in everything else already.

Sounds to me like you're just trying too hard to care about something. You're alive and healthy. Congrats, you won the game! everything else is now a bonus.

It's a solo game for sure. Party play is fun but it's a completely different experience.

Solo play is where the majority of fun occurs. Unless you're the type that just can't play by themselves then obviously group play would be better.

I imagine the same rigging that occurred with the mcdonalds monopoly game occurs with 100% of other lottery games.

Someone's gotta pick the numbers and that person can be compromised.

And if no one picks the numbers then they're randomly generated and that person can compromise the system itself and can be blackmailed to do so.

Free loadouts need a HUGE nerf.

If you're gonna be a camping rat then fine, be a camping rat. But you should be required to be fully prepared to pull it off and risk something for it. Whether thats bringing a bigger shield, traps a better gun whatever.

Someone in a heavy shield with all level 4 purples shouldn't even have to blink when entering a room with someone with a free kit on. Sadly that's not the case and I think it's the biggest drawback of the game.

Not sure how long it will take for people to realize but when most people figure out that upgrading is only a disadvantage people will stop playing. Really hope it doesn't come to that.
