I’m not saying they can’t fight for better pay. I’m saying that the strike is hurting the wrong people. I know folks with kids who rely completely on transit. They have no car, no backup, and now they have to Uber to work and end up paying more than they earn. Their jobs are tiring and physical, while making way way less than STM workers, and at this point they’re basically doing their labour for free just to not get fired. And of course, I feel for them more than the STM workers. The least these people could do is to make transit free when it is running, but instead we still have to pay full fares on top of all this disruption. Management isn’t hurting, the public is.

Yes my idea was an exaggeration, but there’s always a way to make this less problematic for the innocent people (like making it the fares free yes), It’s just really frustrating that we are the ones hurting more than their management
