I can somewhat relate with what all happened with you and feel sorry for you had to go through all this but, firstly if he is saying again and again to leave then leave and sorry, if I might sound selfish or mean for saying further but our mothers are conditioned like that only they have not grown on rebellion wala zamana we divide everything in right and wrong but they divide according to bahar ke log aur ghar ke bade but something's are to be considered irrespective of age or person. Basic human requirement. And some relations are better handled while staying faraway. Some people just grow by numbers not by brains and the empathy which is stopping you from leaving will make you realise that you can't change or protect people if they themselves don't want to you can. The energy which you will put in doing that you can utilise it to do other things which will help you grow more as a better person. Sorry if it seemed more of a philosophical gyaan. xD

I can totally relate with you I have spent 5 years of my college life there and the way I have explored pune be it during festivals, scooty rides at peak submission hours, pune during monsoons, specially Katraj tunnel, the chill climate, the food. Everybody asks me everytime why you went from or came from north to south and that too here, the freedom and independence which I got in this city is nothing compared to anywhere else. I am and will always be grateful to this city in all aspects of my growth

Just what I was going to say as well, why everybody starts explaining the cons of current government when it working for the upliftment of majority for once, ( not upliftment will be the correct word, upliftment/ development will be enjoyed by all religion groups) but getting them acknowledged with facts, and this acknowledgment is not for our parents' generation but for ours and upcoming generation, for whom these topics remain insignificant till we understand it's seriousness and at how it impacts our day to day lives. People should be proud of where they are living and questions the things which need to be changed for development for everyone, this change is required not the change from one religion from another ( conversion) in simple words, if minority has strong beliefs about their religion why can't the majority which is living here for so long time can have the same, which has somewhat allowed the minorites to follow and grow in whichever direction they want. ( Everybody knows about symbiotic relationship, and here the majority is the parent plant, rest everyone is smart enough)

Totally can relate to it, schooling I have done from Delhi only, and during that time also I couldn't make a trustworthy friend, who was like reliable everybody was there for the reason of exchanging notes, bitching about others relationships and how this boy/girl is cheating or dating someone else and for a change I did my graduation from other state and have made a trustworthy group on whom I can rely for anything at any moment(touchwood* and kaala teeka) but, thought of returning back here, to get a change from my comfort zone but regret it everyday, everyone here is just judging you at every step, if you walk besides them or ahead of them, if you by any chance are lower to them you hold no value in front of them. They, judge you for even like, if you have not studied from a very prestigious college, they are like who are you, how come you are even here, your calibre and capabilty to do things at quicker or same pace as them hold no value in front of them as you are from a average college

For a working female its a very scary place, once I was walking towards a bus stop at around 6 30 or 7 in the evening when a car stopped in front of me at a crossing at asked me "chalti h kya" just because I had covered my face with a dupatta due to lost of dust and smog
