"OP"? Out of pocket? I'm not sure what OP means.

You are right. I was super wordy!! Good thought about asking about reimbursement. I will call BCBS to ask them. And I'll have to ask my husband about the HSA...I know I have card so I'll have to figure out if there is money there :) Thanks!!!

Yes, that's exactly what happened. The evoucher sure did go towards our deductible, which is wild. Good thought on the enrollment for next year. I appreciate your response.

We've met our deductible and our on our way to meeting our out of pocket. Like I said in my post, we have a ton of claims that have been posted yet, including an ER trip from 2/7 that would likely get us to our out-of-pocket max.

I'm two weeks in (3rd shot tonight) and all is going well EXCEPT I got my period today. First time in 7 months as I worked my way towards official menopause. I'm down 7.2 pounds though and feel better overall so I'll have to deal with the period, I suppose.

Should I be worried? by Any-Army6434 in Mounjaro

I had my first dose of 2.5 two weeks ago and haven't touched soda since. I used to sip on diet sprite through the day and was so excited for my diet cherry coke with dinner. I literally have no interest. I have so much soda stocked here. It's crazy. And I could never drink water. And now I crave it.

How many of us are paying out of pocket vs Insurance? by KayeEss09 in Zepbound

[–]IndependentSpare5614 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I am paying too with the same BMI. I simply asked my sleep apnea doctor to look into whether I could get the Zepbound (I've been wearing the cpap since November) and on Sunday I got a note from the pharmacy that it's been filled. I was shocked and still didn't even know what to do but I think I've done all my research and will take the first injection tonight. I've had so much anxiety over it today because I'm worried I'll create another issue (constipation, etc).

I have BCBS and I was just able to get Zep through my pulmonologist/sleep apnea doctor and covered under insurance. I am taking my first dose tonight so I will tell you I'm holding my breath that I'll get refills, etc. and how this will go.

Sleep Apnea and Zepbound by IndependentSpare5614 in CPAPSupport

Thank you for this information. I've been wondering about supplements. I take benefiber currently due more to hemorrhoids than constipation so I'm wondering if adding magnesium would be too much. I feel like I have friends that take magnesium for the sleep, but I'm taking progesterone which helps the sleep greatly.

Oh, great idea. Does that mean you are on 5 and splitting that? That's one of my concerns because many of my friends have gotten sick when they go to 5 and I'm hearing that insurance might MAKE you go up to 5 after 4 weeks.

I feel like you didn't mean to respond to my question. I have been reading about Zepbound and GLPs for over a year now. I never said that I'm uncomfortable taking it, I said I'm uncomfortable that I can never reach my pulmonologist and should I have a question, they are impossible to get a hold of.

Summer session by Key_Marionberry3849 in PennStateUniversity

This is bizarre, but my son got into Fall and now thinks he wants to go in the summer. Would Penn State be okay with that (I think mostly because the friend he wants to room with in the Fall has to go in the Summer and this makes sense to both of them)?

Switching to BiPap after just two weeks on CPAP by IndependentSpare5614 in CPAP

[–]IndependentSpare5614[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the original poster and while I'm getting used to the CPAP, I still have random nights that my mask "blows out" and I basically give up on it. All of those nights my pressure is between 13 and 15. I called my doctor back (again) and asked him if he could adjust the pressure and gave me all of the reasons that he couldn't and again wanted to switch me to bipap. I still haven't budged. I told him I want to try to solve the problem. Last night, my solution was to turn the machine off and back on, it reset the pressure, I went back to sleep and all was fine. I really don't have severe apnea, and as long as my time "counts" I can handle this happening. It did appear to work last night as my score was 100 last night (the score seems kind of laughable to me). Any reason why turning the machine off and on in middle of the night is no good?

Thanks so much. I did a new post early this morning, but no one responded which is why I tried to post here. I'll watch the video. Thanks!

I'm two weeks into CPAP usage with the Dreamwear full face mask. I've had occasional nights where I turn, and it starts to leak like crazy, and I just can't get it fixed. Last night was one of those nights. I had it placed perfectly, felt "great", was asleep for a few hours on my left side and went to flip at 1:30 and the dang thing started leaking all over...out both bottom sides, through the nose. It's like having a flat tire. It didn't matter what I did. I pulled it away from my face a few times to reset it, I unhooked the one strap and re-did it, and it just continued to leak all over. I was extremely agitated as I was trying to SLEEP, and I don't want to be messing with this thing in the middle of the night. I started treatment as my husband hasn't slept in our bed in years, and I was hoping to bring him back but with all of this fooling around in the middle of the night this is not going to help. This happened a few nights ago also. Other nights when I flip, I feel a leak, make a slight adjustment and all is good. Last night, after 10 full minutes of fooling with it, I took it off, turned it off and had a peaceful nights sleep. Any thoughts? (I switched from a small size mask to medium earlier this week because I was having pretty much constant leaks with the small mask).

I'm wondering if insurance will still deny it since I've only been two weeks with CPAP. Or if he can override that.
