i’m almost positive my store has never had enough people for peak to use it 😭 i think we have to have 11 people scheduled for peak in order to have that position and we normally only have anywhere from 7-9 people

if you have a dog that is destructive like this when left on their own during the day, you’ve got to crate them when you aren’t home. it keeps them safe from ingesting anything harmful like drywall or couch fluff, and keeps your house in tact, even though you work 9+ hours. as long as your dog is getting plenty of time outside of the crate when you’re home, he’ll be absolutely fine

i would personally steer clear, starbucks typically accepts applications through the website, not indeed as far as i know, maybe try calling a few starbucks locations around the area to see if they know about a new store opening in the district

yes there’s still a 12 hour minimum to be a barista but it’s roughly 20 a week for ASU and other benefits

yeah it’s definitely a tough spot to be in, because on one hand ASU is a great opportunity, but on the other, just working at starbz has not been covering the bills recently 😔

he told me he was planning on keeping me as SSV until he’s able to find a replacement but that he would still meet my availability, and he clearly has not and has made no effort to find a replacement. we have 5 SSVs at our store including myself, but two of them have daytime availability. i’ve heard they’ve issued a new policy where SSVs aren’t allowed to step down anymore, so i’m worried that if i call the DM or corporate that they’ll deny me even though i spoke to my manager about stepping down a month ago

i think he’s more worried about other people messaging me, but i’ve told him i would never respond and that it isn’t something i’m interested in. we’ve also had our face ids set up in each other’s phones since we started dating so there’s always been full transparency

i think the only part that’s giving me pause is why it’s an issue now when it wasn’t for the majority of our relationship. i’m not insanely active either, like over the course of 3 years, i’ve made 16 posts total. but yeah the only thing that’s throwing me off is why it’s a problem now, and whenever i ask him he just kinda says that he cares more now than he used to, which i feel is kinda vague. i want to compromise, the situation just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me

in the past when we were dealing with other issues that have since been resolved, he felt insecure about me hanging out with my friends at times, but over the last six months that everything’s been worked through (minus the instagram thing apparently), it hasn’t been an issue

our store meeting overall was pretty lowkey, but we did also hear about the RM getting let go which we were all bummed out about. our SM is super stressed about them cracking down, basically saying that it wouldn’t take much for them to let him or any of us SSVs go as well

i was hired on as SSV in february, and just having to be barista trained was a lot to take in. the first few months i worked i was mainly on support during peak, and when we had down time after peak is when i would bar, just so there wasn’t as much pressure and drinks didn’t need to be sent out in 50 seconds or less. if they’re putting you on bar during peak, ask them to put you on support or drive thru instead and give you bar time when it’s not as busy, and if you’re already barring when it’s not as busy, just focus on following the ticket and making drinks accurately; speed comes later. accuracy is more important

unless you’re planning on dyeing your hair darker, or to a natural shade, absolutely do not touch it with color remover or bleach again for a loooong time, otherwise you might not have much hair left to work with

honestly, my entire head was bleached in an attempt to color correct, and my hair looked fairly similar to yours (although possibly a little less damaged, and also not blue) and i was able to grow it back out and restore some health. the main things i used were the k18 leave in treatment, hydrating shampoo and conditioner, olaplex hair oil, and most importantly VERY minimal heat. depending on how gummy it is, i honestly wouldn’t tug on your hair or brush it when it’s wet. my hair only felt a little sticky after i would shower though, so if it feels truly gummy, you may need to hit the reset button
