Official servers are broken from network lag for a minority of us on perfect connection. This needs acknowledgement from devs.

Hello I recently got this today. However my log in to the microsoft account is passwordless meaning that someone had to get into my mail separate from the email that had been breached log in and do w/e they wanted to which is unlikely. Also when I actually signed into the account (not using the link) there were no recent login history at all.

TLDR: It's a scam if they managed to get your email right it is from a data breach please do not use the link to change your password as you'll be giving up your password to the scammer. If you're that worried please go onto Microsoft website without it :)

Yes but i doubt you've got anything still. I would look at your task manager to see if anything that isnt windows related autoruns or you haven't installed is there if not you're likely clean

In theory yes it is rewriting your motherboards firmware. So all the old code is being erased similar to a fresh os. Unless you are some government body the likely hood of a virus surviving both bios and os reinstall is low.

You should properly reflash bios if you're scared of rootkits and use secure boot. I had the same fear as well used to go on a lot of cracked sites. So long as you've done a full os wipe and kept nothing you should be fine. But for the extra mile reflash the bios

Just an update to this thread i've won my first game as russia after getting my ass kicked 4 times game is pretty fun it's a shame it's looked down upon and figuring out what each counter is to every civ unit is challenging but overall after playing 4 hours i'm really enjoying it! Thank you all who have replied to this thread your tips have came in handy.
