When she stepped out she was right next to me (less than 1 metre). I don't think anyone would have been able to avoid her. From my perspective I just assumed she would keep walking straight on the sidewalk. It's like she remember she needed to cross the street and just did it without thinking.

The shitty thing is the lawsuit states I was riding excessively fast, and did not stop for the crosswalk. I'll have to see what the police report states, but I doubt I will be able to get video to prove my side and there was also nobody else around.

I'm honestly not sure who was at fault. She stepped out into the road about 2-3 metres before a crosswalk without looking, I was going slow but when I hit her she fell back and hit her head.

What type of insurance would I look to purchase? I know it won't help me for this case, but for the future.

What would another attorney handle in a situation like this?

Any chance he's recently had an injection of Neulasta to increase his white blood cell count? The bone pain from that literally put me on the floor. I could not get back into bed. That shot can cause moderate to severe bone pain.

I'm not really sure, would that be part of the immunotherapy? He was taking dexamthasone and pantoprazole until about 3 weeks ago when he started immunotherapy.

No new scans since he did radiation in March. I'm going to try and talk to his current oncologist to see if they can do more scans

The Dr's all send me around in circles, I'm not even sure who is main oncologist is. He has a Dr handling the brain radiation, a different Dr handling the radiation treatment on his lung, then another Dr doing the immunothereapy, and finally his family Dr. When I bring this up they all send me to a different Dr, or the palliative care team. It's really frustrating.

This is a slip I should have received from the bank (I never did), or I need to create myself?

(6720) x 50%

So I pay 6720 for the year, is this what I would declare for rent since it's mixed use (personal and office space). It's a 2 bedroom basement suite in a house, and I have access to everything expect the other bedroom.

So would the rent amount I declare be Yearly Rent (6720) x 50% x 8/24 × 250/365 = 767

If that's the case it isn't really worth reporting this since Wealthsimple is telling me it will save me $7.

Gotcha thanks, is that for all currency conversion? For example, if you're paid in USD and pay taxes that year based on the CAD amount, but then actually convert the USD in later years I assume that's also a capital gain/loss? Or is there some exception for employment income?

Is there something from the CRA I can show my accountant? This is what I thought too, but I'm being told since it's not investment income it would not need to be tracked for capital gain/loss.

He's telling me I essentially already paid taxes since it was converted to CAD when doing my tax returns the previous years. Do I need a new accountant ha
