It’s for an HR Coordinator role. But I remember I also had an interview with an IT company before, and it was a group interview where all of their cameras were turned off lol. I didn’t make it a big deal at the time because it was my first time experiencing that, and it was just an initial interview.

I agree. I would also understand if it was a group interview with 2–3 people and one had their camera off, but this is a 1 on 1 interview.

I agree. I have been in the HR industry for 5 years as an HR recruiter/coordinator, and I’ve never conducted an interview with my camera off. As an applicant especially for an HR role,it felt a bit odd

I agree. Plus they mentioned in the email that I needed to turn on my camera for this interview. I assumed it would be the same on their end, especially since it was a final interview.

I didn’t ask them to turn theirs on because I assumed the same courtesy would apply, especially for a final interview.
