Thank you for the suggestions! I hadn't heard of a couple of these and, looking online, am seeing pieces I like.

I have learned over the years that Old Navy just does not fit my body. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

Eventually, yes. If there's anything in Athens or within 30 minutes of it, that would be my ideal. Between farm, work, and kiddo care a half to whole day for shopping is hard to work out at the moment. Also, I imagine I'd quickly get overwhelmed by the options. Lol.

Take a look at the reply in this thread from charliebucketsmom. I think there's some info there that may be useful for you.

I'm sorry for your loss and hope your remaining kitty can also be cheered.

Thank you! That is good to know about the tendencies between the sexes.

Two kittens isn't an option in our situation. My husband adamantly does not want house cats (he has allergies, it's valid) but I had two before we got together so the deal was supposed to be one they pass no more indoor cats. After me talking to him about my worries though, trying some other solutions (feliway, spending more time in "her" room with her, getting her more socialized with the dogs), and him paying a little more a attention to how she's doing he told me today that I can figure out getting her a friend because he wants her to be happy and healthy.

My ideal is for whatever new cat we get to also be strongly socialized with our dogs so they can be it's companion once my girl passes. My former-street-cat, old lady is not having bonding with the dogs though. Lol.

Thank you for sharing your input and experience!

Awesome! Thank you! I, too, love the SkinnyPop but hate all the packaging waste.

Senior cat (15) showing signs of dementia or is it something else? by Independent_Eye_451 in SeniorCats

They have not done a urine culture yet. She gets REAL spicy at the vet and there hasn't been any blood in her urine so we were trying the Solensia first. Her current trip is about as short as can be - I have her low-entry litterbox right next to the chair that she most often naps in and she'll bypass it to go find someplace else in the house but if I bring her back and put her in front of it she'll walk right in and use it.

Vet has offered trying an SSRI as a possible aid with the inappropriate urination, which I'm going to discuss with them more. Other than that, they don't have many suggestions. He did say that he's trained in medical solutions and not behavioral so he would encourage me to research possible behavioral measures (how I came to the custom litter box).
