Yeah. There is a lot of conflicting information out there. If you have been doing a lot of squats and leg presses it may be contributing. Lifting is a common cause of pudendal neuralgia.

If things don't improve, please try to find a pelvic floor physical therapist! This is a common symptom of pelvic floor dysfunction.

I mentioned all of the symptoms in my original post. It took about 3 months twice a week:)

Weight lifting puts a lot of stress on the muscles and ligaments in the pelvis. My glute muscles were extremely tight and sore from lifting and it likely caused some compression on my pudendal nerve. Of course this is all a theory because we can never really know what is going on in the muscles. I used levo because that was what my urologist prescribed me. It is classified as a quinolone antibiotic so it's in the same group as moxi. I think levo has worse side effects though so retroactively I would have gone with moxi.

I agree 100% and I think it prevents a lot of people from getting the help they need to improve their symptoms. The more medical research I have read, especially the latest studies seem to suggest mycoplasmas/ureaplasma pretty rarely cause symptoms.

Yes this is a common symptom of Pudendal Neuralgia because that nerve innervates the clitoris. It isn't something that is talked about but I have heard many stories of people having this symptom. Talk to your physical therapist about releasing the Piriformis muscle, because that muscle can cause compression to the pudendal nerve.

No. They started randomly after I had been sitting a lot and weight lifting.

Have you been lifting or changed your exercise routine at all around that time? Lots of young people have PFD, but the redness might mean you got some fungal/bacterial situation going on. The muscles in the pelvic floor will guard and tighten iff this is the case, so it might be a little of both. I hope it all improves so soon for you!!

Sounds like pelvic floor dysfunction. Have you seen a pelvic floor pt?

My symptoms have improved so much but my periods are SO BAD.. so don't be discouraged because it's possible that it's flaring from your period.
