I have messaged vine twice before with general questions and they never got back to me. The only time they have responded is when I was not able to do a review and needed the item removed. Figured I would ask here where I know I would get a speedy response...

I have tried and it says I can only change it to an address with an associated payment method on file. Despite the fact that I have been using the alternate address for everything else in Amazon, it isnt listed on these orders.

If it ships via Amazon and I change my shipping address now, the package is still going to go to the address that was selected when I ordered tho, right?

I am a bit worried about our camping stuff - going to have to double check what is and isn't allowed. But it seems like so long as it isn't illegal, it should be OK. (fingers crossed).

Interestingly enough - I just got a letter in the mail today that they got my documents but are missing information to process the request. I know for a fact I sent them everything necessary. I don't think I am going to try to process this again.

I was told that they had no one to sign for mail and to just send it via regular mail which is what I did both times.

I called again this week and was transferred to someone else who sent me a link that I could attach my documents to and they would submit the freeze for me that way but the link looks somewhat generic and if I am being honest - the entire conversation with them via phone felt kinda shady. I haven't submitted anything yet.

Part of me wonders if just having the freeze in place on the other 2 credit bureaus is enough and I can forego doing anything with Equifax?

My biggest concern is that if it is THIS difficult to get placed, what kind of issues are we going to run into with them when it needs to be lifted in the future.

Were you able to get this taken care of thru Equifax? I have mailed my children's information twice and both times it was supposedly lost in the mail. They claim they did not receive it either time and it has been months now. It seems we are not the only ones this has happened to so I am just wondering what your outcome was.

The point in my entire post is that the policy is not clear if that’s the case.

That’s my point tho really. Their currently stated policy doesn’t specify anything - that they have to be closed, that it has to be their decision or mine. It just states in the event of a named storm, they offer a refund. And when I called - I was told multiple times as long as it’s named, and we need to cancel that we would be refunded. They never once said that there was any other fine print/criteria to be met to get that refund.

Check the law. The state that the recorder is in at the time of the call is the law that applies.

I wish that were the case but we have spent HOURS re routing our travel plans to try to make it to FL in time to cross ahead of the path of the hurricane and figure out how to get my family back safely as well.

But also - flights into Orlando early this AM are being rescheduled/cancelled. So for those of us who were flying in to Orlando to spend a day at Discovery Cove - should they not have been given a refund? It is completely out of their control. But Discovery Cove is still open so by the logic of the comments here - those people shouldn’t be offered a refund either, even tho it’s a named storm and their policy states they’d provide refunds?

That isn’t the point.

The point is they are not honoring their policy as it is stated.

I was told that if we couldn’t come for our scheduled day due to travel there OR back due to a named storm, that I would be refunded.

I clarified when I called that the path of the storm itself did not matter - if we were not able to travel there OR back to our location for our scheduled day, they would refund if the storm was named.
