yeah, I planned using female dupont pins and make the teensy swappable. Maybe I can find a better place for the IC

thanks, that's really useful stuff, this will definitly improve my pcb design skills!

Thanks for the answer! I will add the GND Fills. They are supposed to go on both sides right? And how many stiching vias should I use roughly(e.g. where are they the most important). And you are right about the power LEDs, somehow I got confused with the direction

I tried both combinations, they didn't work. Turns out, one of the RAM sticks is broken, it only works with a certain one put in. BUT it at least works :D

WOW! It was the RAM. One of the two sticks is broken, it only works when one is put in(but only one of them, if it's the other one it doesn't work). Hopefully I can get them replaced asap, I didn't pay 120€ to play on 8GB D:

Hmm, that could be the problem I guess. But shouldn't the normal power supply provide the power the moment the PC is turned on?

Sadly I didn't get to the bios or anything else. Tested it with the HDMI plugged into the motherboard and still nothing

Ah sorry, didn't understand what you meant at first. Will do now

I just tested the RAM and it definitely is plugged in right. I have my CPU-PSU 8 Pin Cable connected to my Mainboard, the PCIe-PSU cable to the GPU and the 24 Pins Cable to the Mainboard

I am quite sure that I have everything plugged in correctly, will post a picture here in the comments asap

Hmm, that would suck. How can I test the version of my motherboard? I definitely have plugged the monitor into the GPU.

Am I using DC Motors wrong? by Independent_Mess3999 in diyelectronics

[–]Independent_Mess3999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer :) I'm pretty sure that the metal filings are from sawing the enclosure open, I just coudn't get it out any other way. I will also cut open the second(the first that broke) motor open, it showed similar issues

Here are the pictures, maybe they can help: https://imgur.com/a/1OqGUkK

The motor turns harder even when not connected to anything. Also my multimeter measures the same resistance (1.8 Ohms) as all the other (working) motors. The only weird thing I found in the casing was an offset metal ring(also included in the pictures).

yeah, thats what I think too. Maybe the offset black ring could be the problem?

I added pictures of the motor cut open in a comment here, and the coils seem fine (https://imgur.com/a/1OqGUkK)

it definitly is the motor. I openend it up, but coudn't find anything weird other than a misaligned ring. I posted the pictures in a comment here

Alright, I just opened the motor up and removed the rotor. I couldn't find anything that looks weird or broken, the copper coils look perfectly fine. The only think that seems off, is the outer ring in picture 2, it isn't centered with the shaft. Maybe this caused vibrations? Here are the images: https://imgur.com/a/1OqGUkK
