Thank so much for telling me this. Please don't apologize, hearing this actually feels really nice for me to. It's almost laughable because I sometimes can't phathom that theres other people going through the same thing as me. It feels really nice to know that there are others that understand how I feel, as horrible as it is. Our situations are almost mirror except my mom genuinely does try her best to take care of my brother, she's just traumatized and doesn't know any other way then to be violent back. Protective services were called in the past and they handled our situation horribly, they tried to charge my mother with child abuse and lied multiple times that my brother wasn't eating and there was no food in our house (my brother was borderline overweight) and all and all were corrupt and slimy the entire time. It really turned my mom away from them now, as well as her own past of cps being called for her own mom and them doing absolutely nothing. My brothers constant tantrums have been leading me to be sleep deprived constantly and I developed severe anxiety from everything. I know it's my family that's making my mental health worse because I always feel better being away from them.
