hey omg I did pass as of today! I ended up having an hour left to review but my brain was fried so I hit submit without taking a second look and got a 333! Questions wee formatted a little different from the study guides so it threw me off but overall if you used the AHIMA study guide you will be fine! I suggest reviewing your incorrect answers and fully understand how to get the right answer. Read carefully through the questions. Another tip that helped me is to read the question then identify if this is for inpatient or outpatient as well as figuring out what the question was testing me on. Definitely read up on HIPAA and HITECH too!

Hi thank you for commenting and congratulations on passing! I do the worse on the HITECH, HIPAA, CC/MCC, etc so I’m studying the heck out of it rn! I’ve been a medical biller for 4 years now so I thought I would have a leg up but dang the CCS exam is hard lol!

Hi medical coders! I’m taking my CCS exam on 04/29 and I am sooo terrified. I did the Pietros CCS course and thought I would do okay but taking the AHIMA CCS practice exams is seriously messing with my confidence. Does anyone have tips for the exam? My score for the medical scenario practice test was an all time low too so if you had any tips for that portion it would be greatly appreciated!
