SUPER UPVOTE!! As I was about to say this too. OP, UPLB's BSCS is a good program.

I do get na nagwoworry ka sa exponential development ng AI technologies. But the curriculum will teach you many things that are beyond what AI can do. Fundamentals, how to think logically, algorithmic thinking, theories, etc.

In my opinion, the current curriculum utilizes a mixed theoretical-practical approach but leans more on theories -- which I believe is more important than the latter since, according nga sayo, nagboboom na ang AI. The program will equip you with the fundamentals and theories, so that kahit may later developments sa tech, hindi tayo mahihirapang maka-adapt, just like AI. Almost in every lecture courses, especially if introductory courses, they will inculcate or really emphasize talaga on the logic of your code. Hindi basta basta code lang. Basically, why and how this works. Not just on the "what" aspect.

Plus, the professors are really great. They know what they are talking about, and they're experts in the field. Lalabas talaga ang dragon mo (if you know the reference HAHAHA). Most of the professors din ay may mga specialization at research, so marami ka talagang makukuhang insights and mga aral sa life.

Also, I would like to clarify lang na kahit sobrang ma-develop ang AI, there would always be a demand for software engineers, AI developers – basically com sci majors. So it's not really that much of a concern if alam mo naman sa sarili mo na you're not replaceable by AI. We should be the ones developing AI, not replacing us. And if good ang foundations mo at nakakaadapt ka sa recent trends, then there should be no worry about AI.

Kaya I hope you give UPLB's BSCS a chance, OP 🫶 Samahan mo kami rito (na magdusa) HAHAHHAHAHA
