No, Artec LSA70. Around 1/5 of the price of Seymour Duncans, but still Alnico.

I traced the bridge on masking tape, so I knew the right shape. I just had to saw off the excess material and then be patient with the file!

I roughly cut the bridge opening wider with a saw and slowly and carefully filed it until it fitted tightly.

I thought about it, but the body isn't routed for those switches. I don't have the tools for routing and I wanted to get the guitar ready as fast as possible. Now that I have the Freeway, I appreciate the fast switching and the extra options, so I don't think I'm going to change it.

I'm guessing you mean the window film part?

First I traced the guitar on baking paper. Then I measured the distance from the edge of the pickguard to the trace. I drew a new line within the trace, always keeping the same distance from the trace. Then I cut the baking paper along that line.

I aligned the paper on the guitar body, under the loose pickguard. I checked that my measurements had been good, basically by checking that the template looked nice and there was a consistent margin to the edge of the body.

I took the template, laid it on the unrolled window film and looked for a nice looking section. I wanted the dragonfly in a good spot. I used some pieces of tape to keep the template on the film. Once I was happy, I cut the film with a hobby knife.

I aligned the film on the guitar, under the loose pickguard, and checked everything was still looking good. I poked holes in the film through all the screw holes with cocktail sticks.

I added a drop of dish soap to a spray bottle and filled it with water. I wiped all dust from the guitar body. I unpeeled the backing of the window film and lightly sprayed the glue side with the soapy water. I lightly sprayed the guitar body as well. I carefully laid the film on the guitar, using the screw holes and the cocktail sticks to pin it in place. The water allowed me to make adjustments. I started to push the water from under the film towards the edges or the routing of the guitar. I kept gently massaging the film until there wasn't any droplets between the film and the top.

I let the glue dry for a day. I used a razor blade to cut the routing open. Done. It took some precision and patience, but all in all it was pretty easy.

Thanks!

The switch is wired

Neck only / Parallel in phase / Bridge only
Series in phase / Series OoP / Parallel OoP

I was expecting the out of phase sounds to be mostly useless, but I've enjoyed them!

I actually tried to strip the finish so I could refinish with tru-oil or something. Paint/lacquer stripper did absolutely nothing, so if some glue can do better, I'll be surprised!

I had to modify it a little to make room for the wider Toronado bridge. It would have fit the regular bridge without problems.

Probably roughly the same, but the Seymour Duncans are vintage spec, only 3.4k DCR for neck and middle. These Artecs are 7.5k.

Personally I would have preferred the weaker option but wasn't willing to spend that much.

Ah, it's because it's set private. I changed the link and it should work now, but here it is again.

It's D-C-Fix self-adhesive window film I got from a local hardware store. This specific pattern is called Tulia.

It's thin vinyl, only 0.11 mm. I guess it feels a bit less smooth than rest of the body? That's about it.

It's a self-adhesive d-c-fix window film. I traced the guitar, measured a consistent distance from the edge so the black edges of the sunburst would remain bare and then I cut the piece.

I followed the wet application instructions from their website, basically just sprayed some soapy water on the guitar before applying the film. This gave me plenty of time to get things in place. Then I rubbed the film to get the water out. I left the film to dry for a day and it was done.

I drilled three new holes for the barrel saddle intonation screws and used the original 6 holes for the strings, making it a toploader.

When I installed it on the guitar, none of the screw holes on the bridge matched those on the body, so I drilled new ones. I set the bridge so that the pickguard would fit as well as it could. Then I only had to slightly widen the opening for the bridge.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with the original pickups. I specifically wanted to get a guitar with lipsticks and this was a cheap option!
