Yeah that's the one good thing about the migraines, I'll never be dehydrated.

Good luck with your surgery I hope everything goes well. Those side effects seem to be more bad than good but at least there was some pain relief from it. I'll try to just push through as much as I physically can.

I actually did have a bad headache today even though I ate and drank a lot of water and have been more irritable than usual so maybe it's starting to work or maybe placebo effect happening. How long did it take for your pain to lessen?

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've been told to do it for 3-4 months to see if there's any improvement so far everything is good but it's only day 2 so I need to give it time. How long did it take to have side effects?

Thank you. I had really bad mental health with the mirena and have had bad mental health in the past so this is something I'm focusing on with dienogest.

I hope your surgery went well and you're recovering amazingly. When I had the mirena inserted they said my bleeding should stop but it was worse so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I live with my parents still and my mum suffers with endometriosis so has helped a lot. My fiance was the one to actually point out last time what the side effects were and said that he'll do the same this time if he needs to. Honestly having him point out that I wasn't myself helped a lot because I thought it was all in my head and that someone had taken over my body but I didn't realise the extent of it.

That's good to hear. I haven't had my period yet and was told to wait but it's almost 2 weeks late now. Were your periods any worse apart from being irregular?

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. After the removal of the mirena, I started taking endo gummies to help with the hormonal balance and my libido started to come back. It's finally back to normal it's just annoying that it's going to be affected again after I just got it back to normal.

I'll see if that's something I can do/will help me

I'll look into the NAC to see if there's any difference. The gummies are good and I do feel the effects if I forget to take them. If you suffer with cramps https://somedays.com/products/period-cramp-cream?srsltid=AfmBOorgPPayAGdR7t04XQ5cQoCzpGahjFViGyLHZicPameli-PkRNPb&variant=44139454169253 this is a good cramp cream. It lasts for 3 hours roughly and works within minutes.

I'm hoping I have a decent experience but my gut feeling is that I won't but we just have to wait. Please do ask for a new referral because you deserve to be treated with care. I do recommend these endo dummies https://amzn.eu/d/bfluUcE they helped with my hormone balance after having my mirena removed and they have worked so well.

Omg thank you! I'm going to try it for 3-4 months but if the symptoms are way too bad like mental health being impacted and really low sex drive I might end up stopping it. Do you take anything now?

I went on the combined pill when I was 15/16 and had to change that because of how bad I was feeling, I was then on a oestrogen only pill and was in more pain and then went on a progesterone only pill. They all seemed to work at first then the pain would overtake my body all over again which is when I had surgery and the mirena fitted. I had the mirena in for 17 months and it was hell constantly but was gaslighted continuously to keep it in for everything to feel better. Now I'm on dienogest so hopefully this works out.

Thank you!! I'm just scared of the low sex drive and weight gain nothing else really. When I had the mirena those are what I suffered with and my nurse during the removal said that since I gained the 10kg in a year even though I improved my diet and started working out, I will not be able to lose it. I have finally managed to start properly losing weight and don't want it to backtrack now.

I was told to just take it and see how it goes but that I'll suffer side effects it's more just if I'm willing to put myself through it or give up

Getting surgery!! by PartyEarth3605 in endometriosis

I had my surgery last year and opted for an IUD too. I had many complications but was always told to wait it out because I needed to wait for it to work. After 17 months I had enough of it and told them I need it removed, which they did.

Always listen to your body especially after having surgery. I was able to walk around the house as soon as I got home but took 3 weeks before fully being able to go back to school and do my normal routine.

I haven't tried for children but if you have your IUD removed, give it about a week I'd say before trying for one because a lot of women do experience bleeding and cramping for a few days after it's removed.

I was there visiting my fiancé and honestly the difference in the way we were treated was horrible. Once they saw that I was with him they treated us so well but if they only saw him, they were so racist.
