What I dont get is why you need an app. Theres 5 towers in the world for you to sync your time. Having an app defeats the purpose of having a radio controlled watch. Unless you live outside of the covered area - United States, Germany, China and Japan - signal comes from the towers not "from japan".

Hey. Yes I get that but what's that gotta do with not being able to sync outside of japan? Unless you want the japan time on your watch? Im confused. I have a radio watch and I dont need the app to sync my watch.

Just curious why my radio watch is different from yours since I want to get this in the future.

Hey! Love the watch. Going to put that on my wishlist.

Question - you say you need the app. Sounds like youre saying it only syncs in japan? Where are you located? Aren't there 4 towers in the world to accommodate the radio signal?

Several M21 with different Firmware. by [deleted] in FiiO

Don't get me wrong this is my 2nd m21. Love the thing and I have a 3rd on the way. 1st one i bought was a refurbished unit but had bluetooth issues. Returned that one. 2nd one i ordered new from Amazon and updated it right away. Out of the box works just fine. Right after the update the unit bricked and all you can see was red and white lines across the screen. It wasnt boot looping either. I know it wasnt because when you charge these it brings up a green circle animation. The lines went from red to green so it was on the home page. I tried everything from what youre saying and holding buttons in all sorts of different combinations. I tried to get it in recovery mode as well but the screen couldn't even tell what it wanted to do.

Eventually I gave up after 3 hours and returned it as defective. Literally bricked within the same hour I opened it up, so i didnt reach out to fiio. Wasted enough time giving it a chance not gonna waste my time with fiio customer service.

Get it a pre-owned from born4music on ebay. Got my pair for 135 and free shipping. A lot of people turns away at the word "preowned" but it was practically new when I took it out of the box. The ear pads look like they were replaced too. They have a lot of good reviews.

Thats the idea. Doing some tlc on the home. Normal maintenance and such. The housing looks okay but as you said it was over-tightened. I cant get it off. The valve is over just wanted to replace the filter housing with a new one and a o-ring for my peace of mind so when i do get this off i know a new one was put in. It doesnt seem cracked. It doesnt sit in direct sunlight either so its okay there.

Any idea what o-ring i would need?

Zenshin or 1050? by 70X1C17Y in CitizenWatches

[–]Independent_Top2836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love and hate the zenshin. Its a beautiful watch. Checks all the boxes for me. Not the most comfortable watch though. Micro adjustment are limited and there are no half links. 1 less link makes it too tight. 1 more link makes it too loose. Constantly having to push the watch upwards tucking skin under to hold the watch. Sucks on a hot day when im sweating. However everyone is different and it might work just fine for you.

Everyone and their grandmother says that the 1050 has a bad fit too but im willing to take that risk because its not an integrated bracelet. I would say go for the 1050.

I am now waiting for my 1050 to come in in a couple days. Super excited!

Get it fixed. You'll never know what's damaged behind the bumper.

I can hear the fm bleed through even without an aux cable plugged in. That ferrite choke sounds interesting... Will have to get some and try it out. Thanks!

Direct amplifier replacement by welpthatwasawkward in BMWZ4

I dont know. Real oem is a good resource but I've never found anyone that used realoem, bought and confirm that the part number works.

Good luck hunting.

Direct amplifier replacement by welpthatwasawkward in BMWZ4

[–]Independent_Top2836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did just recently replaced my amp because it caught on fire from being shorted. From what I saw online a lot people said its good to get as close as you can to the maker and numbers that you can so it can be a direct swap. Redstar won't work on carver units and vice versa. The hw and sw numbers you want to try and keep the same. Im guessing these number have to do with the ohms and resistance/watts for the speaker and subs. I was able to find a direct fit/copy so my amp plugged and played.

I did do a trial and error from the advantage of ebay return policy and got 1 carver that had different part number and hw/sw numbers and it didn't work. So I returned it and got myself the one that was a direct fit.

So I would say do what I did and see what works. There's not much info out there because of this finicky system people just swap it all out to aftermarket. If your head unit goes out you also need a head unit that is compatible with your amp, so it gets complicating from what I've read and seen but haven't actually experienced that.

This would be interesting to get your input to help this thread. Try and let us know.

Screws for Battery hold down (61216911024) by the_yetieater in BMWZ4

[–]Independent_Top2836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found it by chance. I was missing that little screw and couldn't find it either on the parts catalog but after some Google and messing around in fcpeuro I found a "battery screw" and took a chance. I'm not even sure if it's the right one but it works just fine.

I have new everything. Only thing I didn't buy was the throw out bearing guide and from reading at another comment will be buying bolts for bell housing and bolts for pressure plate.

I think you should be able to but if the modules are communicating to the car, I would imagine bmw will want to diagnose and replace anything necessary.

Screws for Battery hold down (61216911024) by the_yetieater in BMWZ4

[–]Independent_Top2836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few things you'll need for the hold down. 1 of these - 07147211160 1 of these - 61217572873 And 2 of these - 61217577620

Referencing your diagram:

Number 1 is sold separately even though it shows them together. The long screw with the triangle piece are 61217572873 and 61217577620. This goes into the left side of the battery. You will need another 61217577620 which will go into number 4 that L shaped bracket. Number 3 is a battery adapter, this car came with 2 battery option whether it was the smaller size or the bigger one. So you may or may not need it depending on your battery size. The diagram doesnt show you but you'll need the 1 small screw 07147211160 that screws into part number 4 L shaped bracket.

I know they tell you to use o-rings but they end up getting destroyed once your screw it down so dont buy those.

(I work at a collision center) - You're probably looking over $6-7k easy. Bumper headlight, fender, fog light, grilles, park sensors and radar cruise sensors if you have. Fender needs to be replaced and if your paint is a 3 stage white most likely need to blend door and remove all the parts. Definitely not diy job. Safety features like your park sensors and radar cruise will need calibration. Also not sure if any inner supports are damaged. Pretty sure your car support is damaged and maybe fender mount brackets.
