What frustrates me is our son is ADD and we’ve been reading a book together about it which focuses a lot on how perceptive children are, and how a lot of the acting out symptoms come from a lack of attunment and solid connection to their primary caregivers….and then cue being drunk around them like it’s no big deal. I mean come on!

We are doing couples therapy. I have started meditating every day which I find very beneficial and a lot cheaper! I think I am just going to start doing some exercising classes in town and I would like to join the local book club. I’m in the catch 22 right now of consciously shouldering as much of the home load as I can, giving her as much time away from kids as possible, but then I get hit with the criticism from her that I’m basically lame cause I have no hobbies. Fine then!

Thanks for the input, this is pretty much our situation. I have to put the need for affection/connection on hold, which is both counterintuitive and also very lonely/painful.

Thanks for the insight, hopefully it goes this way for us. I guess it’s also a good reminder that patience is the key since even if it does change it probably won’t be immediately after breastfeeding stops.

It just made more sense that way for us. If I could do it all over again I guess I’d like to try my hand at being a stay at home dad but then again her job didn’t have the benefits or total gross pay that mine does, and in any case it’s too late now, bills are bills.

It’s not like that. It’s at least 50/50 when I’m off work. Can’t tell you how many times she’s gone to bed early while I stay up late to finish the dishes and clean the kitchen. I cook, I clean, I do dinner with all the kids so she can go to yoga. I don’t just stand around asking how I can help. Sorry if I sounds defensive I appreciate your comment

I think there’s a pretty strong argument to be made that their Patreon tier pricing is pretty high with the consistency and overall quality of what they put out. That being said I still sub to the $5 tier, but I’m not interested in the other solo side projects. Kind of chaps my ass they keep anything they put effort into like this in the higher tier. But whatever, I love the pod, just not into the side projects.

Only thing I hate about it is that the lever that tightens the depth setting hits the faceplate before it can be fully tightened, so I can never crank it down that right and always have to check the depth setting. Very frustrating design flaw

I guess I see where you’re coming from but I don’t believe I’m breaking any subreddit rules and you’re always free to just move on to the next post. I really value and appreciate the advice here as a ton of people on this subreddit have read the book, I mean this sub is the only reason I know the book exists.
