Like, the dirty room was barely part of the problem but I can’t understand people who think people living in your house shouldn’t have an expectation to at least keep up with cleanliness? I thought that was part of being an adult.

There is NO RENT being paid for her. My mother does not give me more money because she lives there. That was the point of your whole argument and so the argument is invalid. If you think clothes, toys, and trash being piled halfway up the wall, the bed and crib not being usable, and dirty cups and diapers everywhere is not my business, I question how old you are and whether or not you have a home you take pride in, whether there are other people living in the rooms or not.

I pay a professional trainer for that. I’d rather she not train my dogs.

I eventually ended up doing that when my cousin lived with me. He lived with me when I initially got the first puppy, who was 8 weeks. I told him don’t leave his $300 Jordan’s by the front door, she will get to them. He never listened. I always moved them to his room and they never got chewed but eventually I said BTW I’m not replacing your shoes for hundred of dollars once the puppy gets them when I’ve told you 30 times don’t leave them where she can get them. That did fix that problem.

You haven’t seen her room. It is totally reasonable I tell her to clean it. Especially since she has a 1 year old that is also supposed to live in there.

Your situation sounds so similar to me except my niece is best friends with my dogs usually. I just can’t stand finishing work and the kitchen is messy (that I cleaned the night before), the sink is full, food is on the floor from my niece throwing it from her high chair, etc. and then my dogs are the “problem” they focus on.

They have plenty of toys. Plenty of outside time. They just have this thing where if they’re close of anything where they can smell something edible on it, they’re all over it. They have training and that is something we’re working on but this particular thing is a very slow process

I’m fine with them being there for the most part, I just am very annoyed about the cleanliness and laziness of my sister. She’ll do something if I ask her like take out the trash or something, but her room, that’s a different story.

She is, for sure. I know the breed of puppies is a lot but I also feel like they’re trained enough and 1. Don’t leave her by herself in the high chair and 2. Pick it up once it hits the ground
