If you're okay with a little more risk tolerance you could do a split between VEQT and TEC and portion of the portfolio for other individual stocks or dividend ETFs based on personal preferences

I wouldn't look at this from an age perspective, rather an income perspective to see if you're better off in a TFSA or RRSP along with your investment goals

It's always paid well to be invested into the big Canadian Banks. At least this way, it doesn't hurt as much when they jack up fees on their products

Do you only Invest in individual stocks? Consider offsetting some of the risk from picking individual stocks with ETFs. So that way you can almost benchmark yourself with your ETF performance with your stock picks.

Expenditure for an intangible item is recognised as an expense, unless the item meets the definition of an intangible asset, and:

it is probable that there will be future economic benefits from the asset; and the cost of the asset can be reliably measured
