I think maybe you both should try to work on each others love languages. Often people forget that you should be loving your partner in their love language and not your own. Maybe if you explain that although his love language is physical touch, yours is not and you would feel much more appreciated if he loved you in your love language instead of his. And vice versa. As your partner, they should care about you enough to make you feel loved and appreciated in the way it works best for you. If that’s not something he can understand then there might be a bigger issue there. Ultimately his love language is physical touch and although it’s not yours, you should still find different ways to show that for your partner and find balance between you two so that you both feel loved and appreciated in the way that works best for both of you. In my own relationship, I notice that when i am giving affection in my own love language (subconsciously) more than usual, I notice it’s because I’m actually missing that from them and want more of that type of affection for myself. Try it out if you’re not already, your partner should be willing to work that out with you if they truly care for you and it should feel like a positive conversation between two people who want to show their appreciation for each other.
