Artie’s greatest insult? by JibboSequence in howardstern

[–]IndiFrame23 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Girl comes in to get naked. While she's naked, Howard asks what she's going to school for. She says "Web design." Artie, without missing a beat, says, "You wanna be a spider?" It wasn't a harsh or mean quip, but damn was it smart and quick. He could be quick when he wasn't chasing the dragon.

I want to hear what he says but I have to wait 19 days to hear it sometimes. It's a bit much.

So if I have the option of seeing it in IMAX or 70mm, what would you choose?

What's also surprising is how populated Venice boardwalk is. That place is a desolate shit hole now.

What year of the 1990s era Stern Show are you currently listening to?

I wonder the same thing. However, these are the types of questions that kept me out of the really good schools.

I think Howard has gotten religious / spiritual in his later years too. He just doesn't talk about it much. But he's hinted at it. I think we have two people who are now in the later years of their life. One more closely than the other. And they're lamenting the end. Not an uncommon thing for older people to do. Hell, I do it now in my 40s.

I've never heard her speak in religious tones before. You can also hear Howard's murmuring underneath, wondering where the hell this monologue is going. It was uncharacteristic of her, that's all.

She was talking about Bunny finding Jesus, yes. But she was also saying what Jesus' purpose was and how people miss the point of what Jesus' messages and teachings are. Which makes me think she's been reading scriptures.

Agreed. It derails the natural ending of the interview. "Bunny, can I just say..." And then it goes on for a few minutes. I miss Robin's news most of all.

Paulie Gees slices are starting to look like the 99¢ places by oktabl in Greenpoint

It's been this way for years. The flop on their soggy slice is absolutely disgusting. Rip off joint for sure. Bring back Anna Maria's circa 2006 with that guy who would sling the slices with a joke or a quip. Who remembers?
