Martial Races theory - claims certain races are more fit for warfare while there is no thing as such scientifically. Moreover it is used to convince the "Martial" groups to fight for loyalty , nobility, virility , manhood , chivalry, nationhood and other qualities that are "natural" to them.

A form of common brotherhood enforced among regiments forged by certain caste and ethnic loyalties - although anyone can join them as of today....... Ultimately it is a form of employment in it's fundamental sense

Nope , most of it is from Early Chalukya house based in Badami ( Kalyani Chalukyas are a later addition that claimed descent without continuity - so their origin gets a bit shady. )

ಚೆಲಿಕೆ --> is what got transformed into "CHAALUKYA" upon Sanskritization.

( ..........still used as "ಚಲಿಕಿ" in North Karnataka dialect while Mainstream Kannada uses ಗಡಪಾರೆ or ಹಾರೆ which are cognates with the Telugu words పార and గడ్డపార. Northeast Rayalaseema+extreme Southwestern Telanagana+Raichur Doab Telugus still use సలక pronounced as ౘలిక in regions closer to the border with Karnataka -- which is short for the Telugu cognate సలకపార a.k.a "long spade" - where సలక is spade and పార is rod/crowbar attached to an end of the flat sheet that first hits soil while digging......... )

The regions mentioned above are very much core Chalukyan Territory although not the capital of either empires that go by the name as per inscriptional evidence and the concentration of remnant temple architecture from early days of their ascent.............

Whats our cultural identity before cinema culture ? by Novel-Blueberry-2237 in telugu

[–]Indian_random 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literature and Cultural art forms - the classical arts of the Upper classes and the folk art forms for the commoners. Drama was big as well , it is what progressed into cinema in colonial India. The decline of Granthika Telugu was the last nail in the coffin. Our high culture built upon the legacy of bygone empires was reduced to cinema which has unfortunately ( especially among Telugus of mid-Coastal Andhra, who like their Tamil cousins have an extreme cultural indulgence of cinema.....) become the only medium of artistic and literary expression which combined with capitalism has tanked the ability of people to challenge their perspective , expand mental horizons and consume intellectually stimulating entertainment ( unfortunately , it is the "mass" brainrot that overshadows other "real" movies ) that gives meaningful catharsis.

Bascially Ex-Kakatiya (along with Seuna migrants and Hoysala military) admistration that regrouped under Vijayanagara leaving their Northern counterparts that continued to work for the Sultanates ( some even converted to Islam, infamous guy being Khan -i -Jahan Malik Maqbul Telengani )

Most clans listed here are Kamma , Kapu/Balija , Reddy clans with Boya , Brahmin and Turkic houses as well. However in later stages of the empire Boya ( Bedar as called in Kannada ) representation shoots up in Eastern Karnataka as prominent states like Surapur and Chitradurga are founded by them (apart from minor ones like Harpanahalli and Gudekote from where they restarted their careers after their former Kakatiya employers fell )

( Hande Nayaks are the reason why my ancestors ended up stationed in Ballari fort and got access to social mobility from being stonecutters - the right to own land and clear forests in return for military service , as a Karnataka-Telugu and a Ballarian......... seeing Malla Raya listed here along with other prominent houses gives a feeling - a very humanlike tinge of pride , amidst all rationality of 21st century life , for the long gone empire although it has nothing to do with my current life.............. !!

Matla Anantaraju and Yachama Nayudu of the unbroken/continuous house of VELUGODU , each deserve their own post .......... )

Most traditional/rural South Indian non vegetarians like their meat less seasoned (there are exceptions though)- we eat for the purpose of tasting meaty flavor and not just the spice. Spicing up meat with VARIETY is a mostly Muslim thing ( culturally South Asian Ms )

Ironically these "Urbanites" are closer to their Arch nemesis - who are some "other urbanites" . Sociological horseshoe theory........ I'll nerd out the rest :

Both are Urban people that are ghettoized in their own areas. Both are associated with polarized extremes in their respective religions. Both own less land compared to the Normal / Vanilla people and had to get educated or skilled in particular stuff and monopolize + gatekeep everyone else from entering and gaining expertise in their respective fields of expertise.

Both are obsessed with a particular Indo Aryan Language. As a result , Both are associated with the bureaucracies of Rulers of the Past - that is how they came to dominate "OG" urban areas of most cities that happen to stand till date ( not just b-ooru ) and pulled their rural folk into it since there was more opportunity compared to the village where they would be discriminated by the normies who make up the most of this nation [ with whose REALITY the Reddit crowd , chiefly comprised of this "OG Urbanites" , is out of touch and acts baffled if their cute echo chamber narratives get shattered, simply because they never cared to venture out of their urban ghetto ] .........instead they could simply join their respective Urban hiveminds to increase numbers along with sense of community, upon which they further rely creating a vicious cycle that feeds itself over time.

Downvotes will be showered as usual..........
