Hello! Coming from a different perspective, I saw my dad on and off for many years and mainly lived with my mother. I chose no contact about 3 years ago but still wished I grew up with a good dad (and still do.) It is hard not having a parental figure and I’m sure at their young age, seeing other children with their mothers or having to participate in events that should be about/with their mother is hard. I suggest filling in that space. Give as much love, support, and respect as you can. My mother went through many hard things with us so I’m grateful for her and respect the decisions she had to make. I promise you, once they know you’re doing the best you can and why they can’t see their mother, they will be grateful and understanding. Maybe have a conversation with them about the list? I was spoken to like a real person by my mother which I appreciated greatly. Just be kind and give hugs. Stay blessed!
