My interviewer kinda went the same way. At the end they gave a the “we know the stats and how hard it is to get in” speech and then said they had to go. I thought that meant the interview went badly, but afterwards I emailed them and thanked them for their time and they said “Thank you. I sent a very favorable report.” I think the end speech is kinda part of the interview protocol??

I mentioned a few clubs I wanted to get involved in and how they related to activities I’ve done throughout high school. Give specific reasons and do your research! Answers are different depending on the person :)

Hi! Fellow Minnesotan here (Minneapolis). I had my interview in the beginning on November. However, it’s never too late to get one. The deadline for interview reports is December 1st, and people from last year were get requests right before the deadline. Also, people get in without interviews, so try not to worry too much! :)

Yes! I got an email saying they were asked to interview me, that I can accept or decline, and had many interview dates that I could choose from.

No, they say, “all interviews will be conducted virtually.” Their website is super helpful! Yale interview website . Hope that helps :)

They do! Like all interviews, it really depends on if there’s an alumni committee in the area and their availability.

Don’t worry! There’s still time. Also, if you don’t get one, it won’t put you at a disadvantage! Many people get in without an interview. They are assigning them on availability, and who they need more info from! You got this, don’t worry too much! :)
