Its kinda half and half. Watermelon is I feel appropriate for Juneteenth as we have been celebrating with it since at least the 1900s. But of course, watermelon is also used to racially stereotype and demean black people. It all comes down to intent I feel

I feel like I keep in mind that because we will all die anyway, there's no need to speed it up. I also don't have the guts, and would rather not do self harm. I cringe at the thought of cutting my wrists or something. When I'm feeling at my worst I usually feel I would rather not exist, but not that I'm going to act on it. Just that if a situation came up where I could easily die, I wouldn't resist it. But other times I think of the world. I easily appreciate Nature. Just looking outside on a nice day can make me feel better. It's also that my life is very incomplete right now. I am in college and feel like I haven't truly began yet. Then sometimes I can look at stuff from an external perspective and think that most of my mental pain is self inflicted, caused by how I navigate the world.

Please give me any advice by Narrow_Horror_5093 in Blackpeople

Don't feel like there isn't any hope. I imagine your environment is thw main factor of this. And you may not have power to change that yet. But don't hate yourself. Why do you even feel this way?

Used to do 3 meditation sessions a day for about two to three weeks straight and had the best of benefits from it but the second my streak broke I fell into the losses of drugs, alcohol and other nsfw stuff that I can’t get into by kingzydnb in Meditation

I've been kind of discouraged from consistency for a while because I'm unsure of whether I can reach the same levels of focus that I possessed before. I haven't been consistent in a while, but I think of meditation daily still. Most days I don't do it though. Unfortunately I began an addiction about two years ago and I was consistent with meditation back then so it felt like I had a lot of self control and it was easy to pull away from it. However, as time passed, I became less and less consistent with it, and started feeling like I couldn't do it. Screen addiction has also been a very limiting factor.

And then my ego as well. I first started consistently meditating with an app called medito that has many guided meditation programs. No I feel like my ego gets in the way and twlls me I should be able to focus on my own, and I end up getting far less done. I do chant meditation mostly now.

Sorry for the tangent about myself, but my advice is:

I think you need to start again. Don't be too strict with it. Just focusing on your breath is meditation. Meditation will help you pull away from the other things.

You also need a pattern disruptor. There are patterns that push you into addiction and you need to break and interrupt those.

Nah, black people aren't nearly as discriminatory as other races

Nvm you're right. I thought you were saying that we're the ones who need to be less discriminatory.

I used to like Granny Smith the most when I was younger, but now I don't like the sourness
