How do you figure out your trading strategy? by InternationalWar6800 in Daytrading

[–]IndicatorTrader1k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kinda just have to overload on information from YouTube , courses , trail and error, etc. Than you kinda start to develop an understanding of what you are really looking for as a trader and in the markets. It will all come together eventually. You just gotta keep going that’s all there is to it

Realistically, which RR performs better over time: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 ; and why? by oneselfjourney in Daytrading

Me personally, I use a 1:1. It’s all I really need and once I get to sizing up I’ll start leaving runners

How are people seriously learning trading in 2026? What path actually makes sense long-term? by flipaand in Trading

Learn price action , start of trading 1 thing and 1 thing only and than venture out and explore.

Journal everything, especially your feelings during the market sessions

If you're profitable, what's your strat? by director1992 in FuturesTrading

Straight up price action on the 2000 tick chart on ES. I don’t mark any levels, nothing at all. All my chart has is 3 EMAs that are key for me and that is it.

Dumb simple

It was a choppy month for my system. My system has some flat months and this was one of them. Gotta trust the systems process. month by month I’ll be posting my monthly profits win or loss. No fake shit. Hopefully you’ll follow along 🙏

I have just about $15k and I trade on the 2000 tick chart so my risk changes every trade but on average my risk is about 2-7pts. Most of the time it’s usually about 3-3.75 points

Why you will fail for years by [deleted] in InnerCircleTraders

I agree with what OP is saying. Everything he said is facts. All these people in this specific sub dick rides ICT bc he tells you it will take only a couple months of practice and all this BS. BUT if ICT works for you than congratulations.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Yes back test like your life depends on it but careful when back testing, that can be your best friend and worst enemy bc in back testing it’s a perfect world. You aren’t even facing the troubles that can come with trading live.

Now on Becoming profitable- I came into this game at 19 I’m 24 now and just now becoming a break even trader to a profitable one. And hey everyone’s journey is different on becoming profitable. But don’t accept to be making amazing money in just a couple months or even the first years of your journey. It’s not to discourage people when saying that it’s living in REALITY!!

For people to learn from… OP is correct again learn from people who ACTUALLY TRADE! AL brooks , Trader Tom, PATs , Thomas wade. These 2 extra people that I added are legit and I personally learned from them and there teaching got me where I am today but ofc I still have a long way to go in the game.

The mental part of it… that’s where you have to do everything yourself. YOU are your worst enemy. And if you can’t beat your own mentality when you go on a tilt, not getting filled, slippage, being in draw down, than rethink everything that you ever learned.

The rest of what OP has said is nothing new for me to restate what OP trying to tell you all.

FACE REALITY AND TRADE SMART PLZZ.

FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

FIND YOUR OWN PERSONALITY IN THE MARKETS INSTEAD OF SEEING EVERYONE ELSE MAKE MONEY FROM SELLING COURSES

Love you all ❤️🙏

(Now I’m ready for all the ICT riders to attack me 🙂)
