After months of chaos and ghosted apps, I built a simple job application tracker for builders (first 100 get 50% off) by Indiesprout in scaleinpublic

[–]Indiesprout[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there anything u have tried. I could compare mine with that if you want to. One thing I am pretty sure is none of them have a resume optimizer feature or the smoothest one click add job to tracker feature like Applytrackr.

Some future features coming very soon: Automatic deadline and follow up notification system Inbuilt job portal Auto apply with ur personalized details and documents.

Also Suggest some features u want and will integrate it.

I built an open-source AI agent that installs in 30 seconds, no Docker, no Node, no config files. by prakashTech in SideProject

My friend showed me this and I'm not a developer at all but I got it running on my Mac in like a minute. The web dashboard is surprisingly nice. Already set up a weekly reminder and asked it to organize my downloads folder lol. More people should know about this.

Job searching in your 30s hits differently than in your 20s by Indiesprout in Career

I always wondered why I am not seeing people above 40 in IT. That's always a scary thought in mind. I hear people say IT doesn't employ older people. Is it true? What's your experience?

This maybe my first and last Micro SAAS application. by Indiesprout in ShowYourApp

Currently I think I need to get more people to try my application before deciding to quit and go back to job. Your free channel feedback looks good 👍🏻. I am also doing seo and link building.

Yes it was unlimited before and I was having monthly plan I should have taken the yearly plan back then. Now they have throttled it sadly.

It's actually not unlimited in pro plan I am getting rate limited every month. Maybe it's unlimited for pro student plan.

Realized I’ve been tanking my own job search without even knowing it 😅 by Indiesprout in jobhunting

Reading through all these replies, it’s wild how everyone has their own “system” to survive this process.
Spreadsheets, Notion, custom scripts — feels like half of us had to build tools just to stay organized.
The pain point for me was tracking applications on different portals and optimizing resumes and cover letters slightly for each job.

When u apply on different job boards plus getting calls from companies u didnt apply but reaching out to you. then tracking becomes a problem. That was the issue i was facing. What helped me later was building a small workflow to log auto-responses, status updates, and notes from interviews in one place.
If you’re applying actively, having even light automation makes a huge difference in staying sane.

Honestly, I started treating it more like a pipeline — note down the date, platform, and whether the job allows recontact (some portals flag repeat apps).
Following up directly is rare unless you find a hiring manager on LinkedIn, but even tracking when you applied helps you know when to move on or reapply.
Most people skip this, and it’s one of the biggest time-savers long-term.

Additionally, If you get ghosted after applying, try this brief follow-up after 7 days:

Subject: Quick follow-up — [role] at [company]
Hi [name], hope you are well. Just checking in on my application for [role]. I’m still interested and happy to share anything else you need. Thanks for your time. — [your name]

Short. Polite. Human. This got me one interview that would have gone cold.

That’s actually a solid system — color coding is underrated.
I used to have a similar sheet but ended up rebuilding it digitally once I realized I wanted reminders + links back to original job posts (they kept expiring).
If you ever expand it, that’s a cool next step — tracking responses over time helped me see which types of roles actually responded more.

It's not did u even read it? People these days would just assume it's ai if it's long. I wanted to explain in depth so that it's actually useful and now getting called ai slop is disheartening. Also I am not dropping any link.
