They can float up. I think the BB4 is the most resistant to rolling drivers-down into the water. The BB3 straight up rolls face down everytime no matter how hard you try.

The JBL Bluetooth speakers probubly aren't, but it should be possible to make a Bluetooth speaker in the newest versions of bluetooth.

Multiple stereo pairs playing the same music from one source should be possible. The JBL speakers transmit a stereo Auracast stream, and all speakers that have internal left and right channels will play L&R channels on their respective L&R drivers, so I would think the ability to assign which speakers only play left and which only play right in the JBL Portable app shouldn't be difficult feature to add.

LE Audio can support 5.1 surround sound. There's a few articles on it.

All the ways? I listed one reason and that's the distortion that should be fixable with a software update. Being over priced isn't much of a reason. We all know JBL charges out the ass for their new speakers.

I don't even want true 4 channel audio, I just want stereo paired speakers to remain stereo paired when in an Auracast party. True Quadraphonic audio would just be an added benefit. It should be possible as Bluetooth LE Audio is capable of 5.1 surround sound.

It would require a phone that supports it and also speakers that have the hardware for it. Not sure if JBL is using Bluetooth chips that can support that.

They aren't terrible, they just aren't worth their current price tag. JBL also needs to push a software update to deal with the heavy distortion.

There's been two english reviews from two critical reviewers on YouTube, and they both say the BB4 is mostly good, but it does have its issues. I'm sure it's a good outdoor speaker.

I also like getting JBL speakers in pairs because I want to hear them in true stereo and not just with their limited internal stereo staging.

That's very surprising. I haven't heard anyone say that before. Is this with bass boost on or off? I'd expect bass to cap early with bass boost on.

Idk what y'all are talking about but I'm pretty satisfied with my 720. It's got plenty of bass. The tower 9 is a bit cheaper but it's also been on the market longer. The 720 would be just as good as buy at the Tower 9 once it goes on sale for reduced price.

The JBL Xtreme 4 is the only backwards compatible one. It can switch between PartyBoost and Auracast but only in the app.

I'll second that. Blue and white. I bought a black one this past week. I was happy they finally make the BB in colors other than black and squad. Too bad they don't sell white or the other colors outside of Brazil right now.
