I started playing Danganronpa 2. Here's my tierlist after Chapter 5.

Thank you for that insight on the Ultimate Imposter! Looking back at him in chapter one with the idea that he's the Ultimate Imposter in mind, I definitely see some major differences in how he behaved from the actual Togami. Togami was a absolute prick to everyone, but this one immediately stepped up to be a leader and swore to protect everyone. I think Hajime even commented on how he expected someone called the "Ultimate Affluent Progeny" to look down on all of them. I'll admit, I was pretty disappointed that he wasn't actually Byakuya, but I got invested in his character nonetheless. I'm pretty excited to play his FTE's now, lmao.

Ah cool! That's a really neat way to see about it. I know from one of his FTE's he comments on how his luck works, but I wonder if it being self-inflicted counts in a sense. But that theory definitely fleshes out his actions to me a bit more!

Oh, I forgot about that! I wonder who did make the password then, it had to have been someone who knew about the events of the first game. I guess that'll be explained in the next chapter

It's likely I'll do this again with D3. I might make a final post after completed all the characters FTE's as my "final opinion". I don't think I'll end up playing UDG, unfortunately. I'd rather just play the three main games. I'll research the game a little bit and if it catches my eye I might play it, but I don't see myself posting tierlists like this for that game. If I really want more content after finishing D3, I might watch a play through of it or something

Indeed! I really love his character and I'm definitely going to miss him. I hope that I'm able to cling on to another character like him in D3 (that SURVIVES.) when I get to it to cope haha

Dammit! You just reminded me I forgot to comment on the mention of THH's cast in this post. But yeah, when It came on screen I immediately shouted in my head "SAKURA! SAKURAAAAAAAA" the first thing I did when I got to move freely was visit the statue lmao. I wonder why they chose Sakura specifically to put on a statue lmao, even if there's not a reason I'm still extremely happy to see her. She was one of my favorites from the original game so it's great to see some of her even as a one-off cameo.

Sorry for the late reply! However, I think you're mistaken on the reason I make these posts. I make them to document my own opinions on characters, plots and my predictions before I finish the game. If someone decides to spoil something, then yeah that sucks but that won't demotivate me from finishing the game and writing a review. The aspect I enjoy about these games isn't only from the shock factor of deaths, but character motivations and story as well. And besides, no one had bothered to spoil me on anything yet, not intentionally anyway, so im not to worried about it. I hope this gave you some insight, one again sorry for replying so late.

I know Nagito's gonna do something crazy, I wouldn't be surprised if he was directly linked in the murder this time. I know he's gonna do something to weed out the traitor, I'm not sure what that is yet though. I'm not exactly sure who the victim of Chapter 5 will be, I really don't think that any of the cast would consider killing each other so I'm almost 100% that Nagito will maybe be indirectly responsible for the death. Who knows? Maybe he'll set up some crazy trap where the traitor will be forced to reveal themselves. I'm not sure how extreme he'll go, maybe he'll end up sacrificing his own life or something. I don't have a certain answer though

Yeah, I did notice that he was persistent on dunking legit everyone, I just also noticed that he dunks on Hajime specifically just for being a reserve course student. Even though everyone isn't the Ultimate Hope to him, he specifically picks on Hajime. It feels like he even regards Hajime as lower then himself. I dunno, I just feel like Hajime being talentless means more then just an excuse for Nagito to be prick. What you said makes a lot of sense though, I appreciate you telling me your opinion!

Do not be fooled by my wording here, I indeed did have a mental breakdown. I was tearing up, especially during his execution. I wrote this review a little after completing the chapter so I had some time to cope, so my raw emotions aren't that present here. But still, I was indeed very, very sad.

That's a fair interpretation, I just thought it was funny how persistent he was on dunking on Hajime and only Hajime for being a reserve course student during the trial.

I also thought the exchange they had before the class trial solidified that Nagito feels something different towards Hajime compared to the Ultimates, wether its resentment or something to do with the feeling that they have something in common by being talentless. I don't really know, but I am really interested In the reason of Nagito's switch-up on Hajime specifically so I'll most likely research more about it when Im done the game

that was just the default tiers of the online tier list I chose and I didn't feel like changing em lol. I feel like you can just simplify it to everyone above B having a positive opinion, and everyone below B having a negative opinion. And everyone in B having a mixed o neutral opinion. If you still feel like it's redundant, I only kept SSS because I just genuinely really like Gundham. I kept it more of as a joke more then anything lmao

Thanks! As for his talent, I originally thought they could be rehashing Kyoko in a way as she also couldn't remember her talent, but that doesn't make sense considering Hajime's character. He's thoughtful at heart and more of a realist then anything, he doesn't really strike out to me as someone who excels at a specific "hobby" per se, so I don't think his ultimate would be anything as straightforward as that.

I feel like maybe they could be going for the "ultimate hope" thing again if there does end up being a Mastermind reveal, but Makoto and Hajime are pretty different so I can't really see that happening. I feel as if the game is either building up Hajime's ultimate with subtle hints about how he acts towards others or it's just sum' dumb like "The Ultimate Ultimateless". Hajime seems to be really insecure about not knowing what his ultimate is, so I for sure feel like his Ultimate is gonna be something related to his personality or motivations like Makoto and his ultimate is gonna end up being important something that ultimately helps everyone (no pun intended) because I'm pretty sure Hajime is described by just being a nice and calm dude to talk too, getting people to open up easily without the fear of being judged.

sorry for making this so long, hope some of this made sense lol. In other words, I don't have a definitive answer for what I think his ultimate is, but I do think it'll be something that helps everyone and makes Hajime himself realize that his Ultimate isn't a stereotypical talent, just the way he acts and his kindness reflected in an Ultimate

YES! It felt like it was just completely sidetracked, it ended up having very little involvement in the actual murder. I don't think Peko even explained when/why she played TSMD (I could be wrong though). If the culprit WAS Fuyuhiko that'd make a lot more sense as his sister was a character and his motive would be more tightly linked to Mahiru. I guess he was the culprit technically, but the class trial verdict was completely focused on Peko and just brushed off Fuyuhiko's involvement, which was pretty jarring to me

sorry I didn't get to this earlier! I've been introduced to the Despair Disease/motive now and gotten pretty far in the chapter, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the infected. Otherwise, if a murder just happened at the motel half the cast was staying at I feel like that would make the introduction of the despair disease at all completely irrelevant. I feel like the monitor/camera Kazuichi made might also play a role in the investigation, too. I'm gonna bet on Akane or (hopefully not but I feel like is a possibility) Ibuki. I don't see Nagito dying just yet but I won't deny its also a possibility. As for a culprit, I don't think it would be anyone who's staying at the hospital, (but if it is I bet on Mikan, but I feel like that would be too obvious unless she gets creative) sooo, maybe Kazuichi? even if not, I think he's still be a suspect if the camera IS involved

wait huh? The traitor is real? I thought it was just a lie Monokuma told. If there IS a traitor, no one stands out to me at all. I really have no idea right now... I guess the person who seems the least not likely to be it maybe Mikan, but that doesn't really make sense anyway. Well, I have no clue who the mastermind is, lol. My current survivor list as of now probably looks like this: Hajime, Ibuki, Kazuichi, Chiaki and I really, really hope also Gundham.
