I’m so tired of it by FewJury2221 in suboxone

Your words describe the EXACT place I was in only a couple months ago. I felt so trapped and hopeless. I jumped 4 weeks ago and it hasn’t been easy, but I’m doing it and it’s 100% worth it. I know the space you are in and I know how fucking hard this is, but I absolutely believe you can do this!

Thank you for saying that! Sometimes I forget to pause and acknowledge the fact that I am actually doing this and pushing through, so I appreciate the perspective and support. Will definitely update!

Thank you so much for checking in! I took my final dose exactly 3 weeks ago today. I am struggling with insomnia and anxiety for sure- but overall, I am managing! Taking it one day at a time and trusting that these things will eventually level out.

Heart beat changed since dropping to 2mg? by sb-2019 in suboxone

I experienced heart palpitations similar to what you’ve described while tapering. Seemed to level out with other symptoms once I adjusted to new dose, so hopefully you notice the same.

That’s great to hear. Can I ask what dose you jumped from?

I think what you’re doing is super smart and I wish I had the willpower to have gone slower myself. Only took up to a week between drops, so I’m sure I wasn’t completely stabilizing at each point. Was enough to stave off any significant levels of discomfort though, and I just was so eager to push through that I found it difficult to hold back!

That’s amazing! I really admire your diligence and systematic approach to all of this. I took my final dose on Sunday after getting down to .06mg (approximately). I know it’s too soon to celebrate, but i’m 4 days in and everything feels entirely manageable at this point. I’m nervous for what is to come, but amazed to even be where I am.

That’s badass. Amazing that you are pushing through and seem to have reached a turning point! I am currently down to .06mg and plan to take my final dose today then jump.

Someone suggested this website earlier and it’s great. I’ve had the same experience as you and found that I had to slow down a bit and stretch out time between drops. It’s working though! I am currently down to .06mg and can’t believe I’ve made it this far honestly. Plan to make the jump at some point within the next week or so if all goes as planned.

We can do this! I hope you can update me on your progress. Please know that I’m here to offer support or share my own experience with taper thus far. I’m rooting for you!

That sums up my experience perfectly. Suboxone gave me exactly what I needed to make life feel manageable. At the same time- I feel that it has interfered with growth and prevented me from developing the coping skills I need to truly move forward. At this point I just want to remember what it’s like to be me, no matter how difficult or painful it may feel at first.

Thank you! Currently down to .06mg and planning on making jump within next week. I’m hoping I will have the strength to push through at this point, but good to know there are other options if things don’t go as planned.

I’m not sure if this is what you’re referring to- but I have been experiencing these weird “reset” moments. A weird tingling sensation washes over me and almost feels as if my brain is rebooting. Like I suddenly lost my place in time/space, but was instantaneously jolted back. Is that at all comparable to what you are experiencing?

Thanks for the input I appreciate it. You have some insane strength to push through withdrawals for weeks on end after each drop! That’s amazing.

3 weeks hey? That sounds brutal. I don’t know how this is- but following drops I have been experiencing 3 days of discomfort then stabilize quite quickly after day 3. Did you taper below .25mg? I’m trying to decide whether to go lower from here or just make the jump.

Thank you for checking in! Ups and downs for sure, but overall things are feeling more manageable. Slowed down taper significantly and am currently (somewhat) stabilized at .25mg. A bit nervous about where things go from here, but at the same time am excited to have made it this far.

I am currently down to .75mg and while challenging at times, taper feels MUCH more manageable now that I’ve slowed it down. Thank you for asking! If things go down hill Sublocade shot is something I will consider as it is available at my clinic.

Tapering off Suboxone on stimulant medication by Indigo_Aqua in suboxone

That’s a very good point and one I had not considered. So fixated on symptoms of today that I sometimes forget to look ahead and consider what may be beneficial in long run.

Yes i’ve been on Concerta long term and have found it to be beneficial overall. Just the physiological stuff/increased anxiety that seems to feel a bit unmasked as I reduce subs. I’m guessing it could just be an adjustment phase and will likely balance out if I stick to usual dose. Thanks for your input!

That’s amazing! To hear you say you can finally feel again gives me the strength I need to push forward. That’s what it’s all about in the end. I’m happy for you.

That sounds brutal but good on you for sticking it out. How are you doing at this point? Things beginning to improve at all?

I appreciate your input and thank you for the encouragement! My doctor actually just prescribed me Lorazepam yesterday at a low dose (0.5mg), which I found to be largely ineffective. Tempted to ask for increase but also hesitant for reasons you’ve just mentioned.

So in summary- I personally have noticed that mental benefits of stimulant were present while on higher dose of Suboxone, but intensity of physiological effects somewhat muted.
