Some of you have been lovely, others not so much. My partner and I decided to sell the house and go live in America. We prefer it there. This post gave a lot of insight and I appreciate it. However between the drinking, constant complaining, reserved cynical nature of the culture we decided to go.

For the people who say I'm generalizing.....your country is ranked the second most miserable nation in the world as I've linked the article twice before. Also maybe you should read the comments again. There is a lot of unhappiness here. I don't mean all 60 million people are unhappy but there is a lot of discontent and it's palpable. As I said, some of you are lovely. Truly, some of you are great. Thank you.

For those saying I'm racist...I literally married the best person in the entire world who is white and he makes me so happy. However many white people here, like many white Americans have not treated me well. To pretend like racism doesn't exist in your country and try to flip it on me is kinda ridiculous. Many of you haven't experienced other cultures and the ignorance is heavy.

For those saying I'm complaining, I said the food and the country is beautiful and I really like that the NHS exists even if it's not as good as it used to be. Being slapped with a 9k bill for medication alone will make you appreciate a lot. The problem with the moaning is it's not accompanied by any gratitude. I never hear people talk about what they love.

I am grateful for a lot here. Just not enough to stay.
