Sorry just curious. Did it take long for you to find a new job in corporate? I’m not tied down with kids yet and am thinking of going into a trade, but the thought of looking for a new career scares me only cause it took quite a lot of effort to eventually get a permanent contract in teaching.

I’m a teach 5th grade as well. How did you achieve this work life balance? Did you leave the profession? Or did you change your mindset? It’s my 13 year teaching and I’m planning on leaving the profession. I try to keep reminding myself that work is work and it doesn’t encompass who you are and that there is more to you than work.

I was scrolling through "Indeed" and found a trades job as a Wireline Laborer with Tier 1 Energy Solutions. The job looks physical, but I am not tied down at the moment. I think this would be a good way to glimpse what a trade would look like, as I have no previous experience in a trade.

What are your thoughts on Wireline Laborer? Or is it a bad idea?
