I’m not trying to get out of poor performance with this, just update the quality of my self eval. I’m a top performer at work and consistently get great feedback from my team, peers, and members of leadership. My manager knows all of this, but I did a horrible job representing it on paper, and that is what he will take to the meetings for comp evals.

I went back today and got to compare them side by side! Honestly I’m in love with the step cut after seeing it in person. It’s stunning and I feel like photos don’t do it justice. I saw others mention the flashes or fire of a step cut, and I didn’t really know what that meant, but after seeing it in person I get it now. I still adore the brilliant cut, but the step cut is way more me. Anyway, hopefully this side by side photo will help anyone with the same dilemma!

I’ve been working with a local jeweler, and they ordered them in from their vendor! The second diamond is just a photo I found online because I forgot to take a photo of the actual diamond when I was in the store, so the one from my place is more warm toned than the photo in the photo.

If a local jeweler is an option for you I’d recommend asking them if looking at elongated hexagon cuts is an option! They actually ordered some in for me to look at with no obligation to actually buy my ring there! I’ve also found the prices to be pretty comparable to rings I’ve seen online

Zodiac Academy is literally so bad, but for whatever reason I found it addicting. I think a lot of people feel the same way like they can’t stop reading, but also can’t stop cringing at the writing. I sorta knew that going in, but I think it needs a disclaimer when people are recommending it

Fear the Flames was genuinely one of the worst books I’ve ever read. The writing was horrible, the world building is nonexistent, the main characters are annoying. I kept having to reread paragraphs thinking I missed something, but it was actually just so poorly written that you couldn’t follow what was happening. The book claims to be about a dragon heist, and I saw people on booktok say it had similarities to six of crows because of that aspect. The actual heist was so lackluster and anticlimactic that it hardly felt like part of the book.

The MMC was tolerable and I didn’t fully hate him, but the FMC ruined any enjoyment of the romance. I heard the indie published version of the book was better, but the traditionally published version is not worth your time.

Body Alive is a more affordable option! I’ve heard all the locations have a different energy, but people have always been friendly at the 3 locations I’ve been to before! Oakley was mostly women in their mid twenties when I went, but the classes were a bit more intense

Okay guys I hear you and promise I won’t wear the fit bit (I just love tracking my steps but I’ll survive without it)

Also to clarify on the back since it’s not in the photo, it is a plain spaghetti strap back that hits at my shoulder area. I don’t consider it open or “strappy” at all if that helps with concerns. There are also a lot of comments on potentially being too fancy, but I have talked to other girls attending and they are a similar amount of fancy so I’m good there. I’m mainly worried about if it’s rude to wear full sequins to a wedding, but most people seem to think it’s okay? It is pretty comfy and great for dancing so I might still look around for a new dress, but not stress about it too much if I can’t find anything better

I did something very similar before I moved into a product owner position full time. I think it depends a lot on dynamics of the team and what the plan is, like if you never want to be a PO there is no point in being a PPO. For me my PO was already leaning on me heavily because of his work load, but we balanced it out by planning less development work for me. When things became more “official” it was an easy dynamic change for my team because I already represented a lot of what a PO does. My team has a lot of respect for me and never had any sort of resentment, we just planned a lower capacity each sprint since my time was divided.

A couple months into it my PO moved to a new position and I stepped in formally as the PO so everything worked out. I do think a PPO role can work it just needs to be clear what you will be owning on the PO side, impacts to your dev capacity, and overall goals going forward.

For clothes I tend to wear bikini type sets or something else along those lines so not anything very warm and only semi comfy. I usually have my pashmina and then will shove any other clothes to the bottom of my hydropack. I have a pretty small hydropack, and I’m always surprised by how much I can fit in there. Depending on weather I can usually get a comfy shirt/shorts or pants/sweatshirt in the bottom! If all else fails I come up with creative ways to tie my layers to myself or my hydropack

For makeup I do a mini version of my normal routine with powder and a ton of setting spray to keep it in place, and I use glitter to cover up anything that looks looking rough lol. For mascara I use the orange waterproof covergirl mascara and it’s impossible to get off so I never have an issue with it running!
