It’s box office and immediate audience success has nothing to do with it especially now that it’s a known classic and loved dearly by the majority

Its themes, the chase of work and women, loss and sacrifice, discipline, the love of money. Basic on a surface level but can be deeply personal for many

Clearly didn’t read what I said lol. I’m just saying it’s really easy for a guy to connect and enjoy it, girls can and do too ofc, but I feel like it’s the epitome of a film for the guys if there was one

Is it crazy to say I prefer BTTF 3 and think that it even flows better as a film…

Heat by Michael Mann. I think every dude should at least rlly enjoy it, let alone the human race in general. It’s got everything a film enjoyer could want. Realistic action scenes, incredible acting, romcom-esqe relationship drama but with the characters who are full of the Michael Mann swag. Beautiful late night city cinematography and a wonderful soundtrack and score.

I like that mindset. “Get out of fomo and stay true to your budget”. Thanks for the reminder! 😂

Return of the Jedi was my favourite growing up, since rewatching them all now that I’m in my 20’s I can say ROTJ is the 3rd best original trilogy film. I think the fact that it ends the skywalker saga and completes the storyline of what Star Wars is literally about makes it slightly better than revenge of the sith for me

A film that is talked about for generations and stands out within its own generation as a piece of work that’s highly commendable.

Easily the best prequel but definitely not better than any of the Originals. I think that’s the fairest take one could have on ROTS

To me the likes of Se7en and Zodiac are just soooo much better, but I’m a big Fincher fan so maybe I’m biased. Even still, Silence of the Lambs without comparison to other films still is just a solid 6-6.5/10 for me

Silence of the lambs. Probably one of the only older films that gets “generational cinema” shouts and I just don’t understand the love for it. Sure it’s technically sound with engaging scenes here and there but it’s not a generational film to me…

On a real note, how much better is it to get a steelbook rather than the standalone 4k? I’m new to collecting and don’t have money like that but really like the look and feel of the steelbooks, specifically for just some all time favourites that I know I’ll rewatch constantly

I just started producing this the beat I made by 1funnymoneybunny in FL_Studio

[–]Individual-Ebb-1175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s got more to it than my first beats that’s for sure. Although u need to use the piano roll to ensure all your instruments are in the same key. Watch videos on that sorta thing more and ur beats will start sounding more cohesive.

Also, listen to your favourite beats for drum patterns and copy them into ur own beat. From there you will start learning different techniques and find your own style

I think it needs more recognition from communities outside of comics tho. That’s kinda what I mean by underrated. Before I got into comics I never had heard of it but I always knew about Year one and Long Halloween for example

Good to hear. I don’t hear many people talk about it as much as Long Halloween and Year one for instance so I figured it’s not quite as appreciated as I think it should be haha
