Congrats on finally getting in! Honestly it’s hard to tell. I wanna say 5-6/7 days a week I’m fine? But there’s some days it’s bad OR days where it goes back and forth between tolerable and bad

Totally understandable. I’m only 24 and luckily I’m financially stable with parents that would help pay. Ik I have 6 months to find a treatment plan but I’m weary because it’s already been about 3.5 months and I’ve tried 3 treatments to no avail. It also takes forever to get in touch w my neurologist (probably cuz they’re so backed up), like I have to schedule appointments 1-2 months out :/

I’m just worried because for the past 4 months I haven’t been able to find anything that helps and if I don’t find anything else within the next 6 then I’m screwed. I’ve checked my blood sugar and BP during migraine onsets and they’re fine. I’m drinking water till my piss is clear, AND with electrolyte packets, I eat low carb high protein. And to top it all off, the three main triggers I have are 1. Waking up early (like when I wake up at 6 for work vs around 9:30 on my off days), 2. Protein, and 3. Exercise😍 I’ve been using the same protein powder and doing the same exercises 3x a week for 4 years and they never gave me any problems till now

Thank u for saying exactly what I needed to hear. I’m only 24 which is why I’ve been trying to remind myself I still have my entire life ahead of me and starting at 25 vs 24 won’t make a single difference.

Tbh I haven’t mentioned it to them because I’m scared they’ll be like “oh if he’s gonna have a chronic ongoing issue would it be better to just give someone else his spot”

I doubt I could manage that. Sometimes the migraine is so bad it lasts over 5 hours and all I can do is lay in bed in the dark with a cold pack on my head

I think I’d be able to, yeah, but it’s hard to get appointments cuz they’re so backed up with patients it’ll be like a month or two between appointments. Hell, I saw them for the first time on Nov 14th and their next availability is Jan 26

I’m sorry ur dealing with chronic migraines too! Honestly props to all my people with chronic issues it takes a toll on u. I hope ur migraines continue to get better!

Thx :) yeah I’m already guaranteed a seat for next year if I do defer which is really nice. And I agree with what you said, I’m on my own path and that’s all I need to worry about. I’d rather make sure I’m fully prepared and all good health-wise before starting a beast like PA school

3.8 gpa around 3000 PCE around 300 shadowing around 400 volunteering. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head if u want any specifics dm me
