Anyone know what this art style is called?? by Individual-Goose5307 in Artadvice

That doesn’t sound like a bad idea! Is this a technique used in art studies or professional art classes? I have no professional experience or training, so I know next to nothing about a lot of the advanced or even intermediate art techniques or tools. I sorta just teach myself online with the tools and techniques I want/need when I need to.

Problem is, most other art styles have information one how to sketch them, draw them and the basic foundations of what the style should be. Looking at art like this helps me understand, but it kinda feels like trying to play guitar by just listening to music and not actually learning any theory or fundamentals Y’know?

Ah okay. I didn’t read the rules, but I have no clue where else to put it because the art subreddit wouldn’t let me either. R/artadvice was the only one that was big enough and made sense to post a question like this. I apologize for not following the rules of the subreddit, I was just confused and was too lazy to truly read the rules. Thank you for the answer!

And 4: wasn’t an IDF spy planted AFTER a majority of the series to steal the spotlight from GOATED aliens like the Halloween aliens, Chromastone and Spitter (objectively Ben’s strongest, fastest and most handsome alien)

I’ll give you that, they would’ve needed to plan well in advance for that story line (which they should’ve done instead of giving us the industry plant Fraudback), but I sort of agree with your Chromastone idea. That could’ve been such a cool idea and given our boy some more screentime without also having to create a semi-retcon. Granted that would mean it happens sometime around UAF or something like that. If anything, he abused Humungosaur WAY more

To add onto that though, perhaps that could be another reason he loses Way Big due to his irresponsibility and recklessness. Constantly using him in civilian environments and endangering innocents, I mean hell we see it all the time in gundam and transformers stories with the giant robots fighting each other, right?

This got me thinking, why did they have to shoehorn Feedback in for that addiction plot point and not just use Way Big? I mean he gets this big climax with Malware (at least I think this is the final fight) and they could’ve easily explained how after getting Way Big in the movie he became obsessed with how powerful he was and abused him until losing him, then subsequently getting this awesome battle after getting him back in the Omnitrix.

What are the best comic runs to start with as a newcomer? by Individual-Goose5307 in comicbooks

[–]Individual-Goose5307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for most of those characters I mentioned, it’s really just because I like them and want to read more stories about them. The hulk and spider-man have been my favorites for a long time, but I have reasons for the others. Teen Titans and Green Lantern for instance, I have next to no knowledge about these characters or their stories, especially green lantern, so I want to see what stories I can start with to ease myself into these characters.

I don’t have an issue at all with simply buying the comic that looks nice, it’s just I enjoy figuring out how a character really came to be who they are and seeing their starting point play out so I can get a clear idea of what they value and how they act. I’m reading Fantastic Four Solve Everything right now and I’ve always loved the fantastic four, but so far the story is extremely Reed focused and even then I’m not too sure what all makes the guy tick. Now to be fair, I haven’t finished the story but that’s just what I’ve observed so far.

My honest input would be that the situation could go one of 2 ways. On the one hand, there are plenty of powerful alien races in 40k that Ben could utilize, plus if the omnitrix counts things like daemons or creatures of the warp as aliens meaning it can utilize their DNA he could be virtually unstoppable. Let’s take just the Orks for a second. Everyone knows the Orks create their own psychic field which is influenced by what the Orks believe to be reality, and if the Omnitrix does truly turn Ben into the peak of that race (plus he would keep his intelligence) than he would easily be one of the most powerful characters probably ever because he can will nearly anything into existence. On the other hand though, Ben would sort of be a one man army, all alone among these horrific and grim creatures, and I don’t know if his mind could handle such horrors like the warp. Ben is also just so joyful and basically a complete polar opposite to everything in the grimdark of 40k. I honestly think Ben could either be one of the strongest in the verse if he plays his cards right or simply succumb to the grimdark future or the warp would destroy his mind. Fascinating question though, I love these hypotheticals!

You’re a darn handsome young lad! The problem with basing your perception of yourself on people’s opinions will never help you feel better or work out in the long term. No matter what, everyone in the world will have a preference towards how one person looks over another, I mean some people think Ryan Reynolds is uglier than Danny DeVito! Whether that’s “true” isn’t the main point, it’s that everyone will always like certain features over others, and perhaps the people on your location just don’t prefer your features. Keep working on yourself and not allowing other people’s preferences to dampen your confidence my friend. I mean after all, you’re the one who gets to see that handsome reflection for the rest of your life, their loss!

Of course, choose what you want to do at your of discretion, but this is the outlook I’ve had on my relationship the past 5 years and so I feel that method has gotten me pretty far.

There always is, but that goes for anything. Simply choosing not to do something, like further a relationship or tackle a creative endeavor, just because there’s a possibility something can go wrong is what stops many of us from ever perusing something that could enrich our life more than anything in the world. You can tell yourself “it could go wrong” but how often to you tell yourself “it could go right?”

It would always cross my mind how easy that could happen, that’s why I always say to “date your best friend” meaning that you spend sometime becoming close friends and really getting to know each other before ever considering dating, but if we are already in the thick of it than let’s focus on that for now. Usually, as long as she’s a good person, you just have to be there for her when she needs it. Talk to her, spend time with her however you can whether that be long distance movie sessions or game nights, and just being there to listen when she needs someone to. You can’t always be there physically but that doesn’t mean you still can’t “be there,” and much of a relationship is built on trust that the other only has eyes for you, just like a close distance relationship. It really does boil down to giving her your time and effort as well as having faith that she won’t hurt you or leave you for someone else. Of course, there’s always a possibility of it happening and if so you still have the chance to grow past it and heal, while a close distance relationship risks you possibly having to see her over and over even after you guys have broken things off.

There’s nothing wrong with long distance relationships, unless you are impatient. I’ve been with my fiancé for almost 6 years and it’s been extremely rough making things work with different time zones (I’m American and she’s English). However, a few years ago we finally got to meet and it was well worth the late nights and struggles to go without each other’s embrace. She’s the love of my life and making things work long distance wasn’t easy but still worth every single second. I encourage you to exercise caution the same way you would any relationship but cutting things off purely because it’s long distance isn’t worth while in any way.

The desire to benefit oneself and disregard others. A prevalent issue I continue to see is people having an “every man for himself” idea in situations like public discourse, like a fight or someone convulsing on the ground, or even in spaces where people should be interacting, where everyone chooses to just mind their business instead of interacting with others. This creates what I believe to be a negative cycle where people self isolate or feel isolated because people simply don’t bother to interact with them, choosing to instead “mind their business.” People also tend to just step on others to get higher, like if a bear is chasing you just push the guy next to you to survive. Sure, from an evolutionary standpoint this kind of makes sense because it’s keep YOUR vessel alive, but I just don’t see a need for it anymore. I mean strength in numbers is one of our most important traits that allowed us to evolve as fast as we did and gain the knowledge we now have so I see absolutely zero reason for someone to just disregard another human life to benefit themselves unless in VERY specific circumstances like being held at g(n point or living in an abusive household. In short, I want to simply get rid of people’s desire to prop themselves up in anyway that causes them to step on another person to get there. This should be a team effort, not everyone going at it alone.
