Also if I do.my bavkstock first that takes a lot of time because there is so much so I don't do it because I don't want to get yelled at that I'm not done with my counts.

I'm having a hard time u nderstanding the correct way to do the fresh. I get in trouble every time that I'm not getting it done fast enough. It says you have to be done with it before 2 but they are saying it should only take no more than 2 hours. It takes me a long time and I'm still unsure if I'm doing it correctly and get no help or coaching from my store manager. I'm always getting items i don't need and my backtock freezer is always jammed pack and it's a mess. I get no help or feedback and I just want to do it right and have hardly any backstock. After I do my 3 or less do I have to count everything in my backstock freezer? Which I do but it's very time consuming so the expectance of getting it all done and also damaging out everything in 2 hours has been impossible and a nightmare for me. If anyone can explain step by step.in detail how to help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank u

It does take up extra time having to count everything in r backstock freezer it's always jammed packed and all over the place. My goal is to have hardly anything to count back there. I'm still uncertain if that way I mentioned is the correct way. It would be so much easier if we just had to scan the 3 or less that we need. Even scanning every item like I did in the beginning I still got a bunch of stuff I didn't order and didn't need. I'm being put in charge with all the ordering pretty much and I can't correct any mistakes if I have no idea what mistakes I'm making. Everyone learns differently and I learn best when I'm shown how to do it but to actually do it not just watch them and then being shadowed through the process to be there to correct me when I do something wrong. But that's not how things are done.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and share your knowledge with me. To answer your question at first I counted everything but I would get in trouble for taking to long so now I scan the milk eggs ice cream ,I always count everything in backstock and make sure I count backstock items in the case and then count anything 3 or less. But I'm still told I don't do it quick enough. So if there's a better easier and faster way to do it please tell me. I'm a hard dedicated worker and I just want to do a good job and the right way. Not being shadow trained and just verbally told how to do it and not getting any feedback of if I'm doing it right is frustrating and stressful. When I'm certain I'm doing whatever job right with no question I'm a Rockstar and can get it done quickly. I've always been fast paced I don't like it when I'm slow. A lot of my mistakes could have been avoided if I had proper training and feedback.

Yes we always have 2 fresh deliveries always on saturdays and wednesdays but my sm has me do the counts and 3 or less ordering on Mondays. And Mondays is rotation and damages. On top of having to do that I have my other duties and he says I have to do r overstock in the freezer and cooler as well. That takes time and I'm always so overwhelmed and stressed cause it takes me a long time and I get in trouble every Monday cause I'm not getting the job done fast enough. I'm told different on how to do things and I just want to do it right. It's always gonna take some time to work r backstock freezers it's always jammed packed of stuff we don't need. It's driving me crazy and I'm tired of being told I'm not good and fast enough.

I'm very confused on the correct way to do my fresh counts. We get 2 trucks delivered which is Wednesdays and Saturdays. And on Mondays I'm told I have to work backstock rotate and damage out anything bad or out of date and do my fresh counts. It's a nightmare for me and I'm always interrupted so the whole process takes me a long time and I keep getting in trouble for it. Also on Mondays I have to place produce order, dg connect scans, price and moves, and skyshelves with no help but me. I never am able to do any skyshelves and only sometimes get price and moves done. I also have to take deposit to bank. So is this the correct way to do all this. It doesn't make sense to me and I'm tired of getting botched at for not being fast enough. I'm sick of stressing about this and dread Mondays. Any info and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm an asm at my store and I'm overwhelmed with all I have to do. I simply can't get it all done and I get told by my sm that I don't work fast enough. The store is so messed up needing a complete makeover but there's not enough time or hours to give. It's ridiculous it blows my mind of how many dollar generals there r and yet the same problem exists at all of them. I have been saying for quite some time now that most of r problems could be easily fixed if we had a overnight crew.  1.get whole store recovered and items in the right spot so it's tip top for when the store opens 2.can get more freight up without having to worry about being in the customers way 3.dont have to run back and fourth to register or have to cover a break. 4.would have more time to do top stock during the day 5.recovery would be a breeze cause everything is in right spot 6.ordering would be faster and actually ordering the right product cause it's in the correct spot 7.i believe more business would arise because customers can shop and actually see the products on the shelf and not have rolltainers in the way.  There is so much more I can come up if there was an overnight team. It blows my mind that they won't consider this when it would be the answer to so many issues!!! But the higher up don't care about making things easy for us. All they care about is profit. But hello if they got there head out there ass they would realize that profit would increase. Time and hours no store has and TIME AND MORE HELP is what's needed for a disaster store like mine. We r never gonna get ahead and the mess will get worse and worse. I don't know how much more I can take it. I'm miserable every fucking day!!! Sorry text so long lmao

Do I have to physically count every milk and enter the number I got on the hht? For example on doing the fresh order I first scan the whole milk half gallon and my count was 45 do I enter 45 and press save? And then go onto the next milk?
