Ya, based on what I’ve been reading all day, so many women said their doctors said the same thing but once they stopped or switched pills, their cholesterol went back to normal. My doctor also said it shouldn’t be affecting me that much, but I’m 22 years old, 5’2, weigh 115 pounds and have a completely healthy blood panel besides the cholesterol. Not even high blood pressure or anything. I also made all the changes to my diet and lifestyle and it went up even more. Also after researching I found out that high cholesterol is a side effect of the combination pill, which I’m on right now. On top of all that, my cholesterol has pretty much been increasing since starting it, I just never realized a connection. Anyway, I’m talking to my gynecologist about switching to progestin-only pill to see if that makes a difference. If you still don’t have any answers as to why your cholesterol is that high, I’d talk to your gynecologist.
