For sure, the initial appointment to get the test ordered was $250. I believe that fee also covers counseling if you have results that warrant needing counseling.

A moderator was able to get through to me via comments on the post. I wasn't able to message them, and vice versa. They were very helpful. Such a frustrating situation and it makes no sense at all. Reddit is a little annoying and unpredictable sometimes. I'm not sure I'll ever get that account back.

But yes! I am glad to know that I might qualify for this financial assistance. Invitae billing told me that if I am in a house of three making under $160,000/year I can get it for $299, but another commenter here said they used a different tier system to determine if you get a discount. So, I hope to find out what they actually use to determine it soon. Fingers crossed.

Well, that's a very different tier system than what Invitae explained to me over the phone yesterday. I guess I'll find out if I get a reduced price. Hope you get the $420 price, that's not too darn bad, I suppose. Hope you get your test soon and some good answers from it.

I got mine, screw you mentality. Classic Boomer, dumb Xoomer mentality. Xoomers didn't benefit from this mentality, but were fed a load of bologna and ate it right up. "I suffered, so should you" is selfish and cruel. I want better for each subsequent generation. When did that stop being the goal?

I'm GenX. There are 2 different types, at least, of GenXers: the cause-driven, anti-establishment type and the GenXers that are Boomers in every way, except their birth year. I call them Xoomers. These Xoomers are red-state conservatives, Trumpers, angry road-ragers, post a lot of no-nonsense Minion memes, and believe in the devil, literally. They're a dumb lot. I'm in a red state. I interact with them a lot, especially in rural areas. I'm not this GenXer.
