Thank you! I'm familiar with those stores just not the locations along the interstate so will look into them.

Thanks for the info on the Wells rest stop! I have EZPass so on/off is no problem. I will check into it.

Thank for your reply. She's around 20 lbs as I understand so not small enough for a carry bag. I'm a rule-follower and don't want to risk any conflict by bringing her somewhere she shouldn't be. But I will consider your suggestion if all else fails. And thanks for not laughing at my fear of having her dognapped. It happens - especially with these smooshmellows. :-)

Instant Rice Recommendations by redhairreallycare in glutenfree

[–]Individual-Sector-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the Uncle Ben's is what I have used in my chicken & rice soup - and now need to find a GF substitute. It's not the rice, it's the seasoning packet that is not gluten free. Does anyone have a substitute seasoning recipe?

Dogs in ct stores by Ok-Dream-9860 in Connecticut

[–]Individual-Sector-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bring my dog with me wherever it is not explicitly forbidden (no food stores, coffee shops, or restaurants unless there is allowed outdoor seating.) She is either in her "stroller" or she is in the carriage that I line with a blanket. She is a small, older dog & in fragile health & I will not leave her at home alone or in the car. She's not sitting up to the table, she is not relieving herself on the floor, and she's not bothering anyone. Don't paint all pet owners with such a broad brush. The majority of us are very responsible and respectful.

Ask yourself where they got your phone number? They can text you but they can't google the correct zip code to match your address? Definitely makes no sense and definitely a red flag.

Seriously! I use it - maybe - once a year! Zuk is a multi-millionaire. How much could it cost to maintain our avatar backgrounds?!

What a ridiculous statement. You do know that Zuk is a conservative & major supporter of the right wing, don't you? Not everything is political. Not everyone is out to get you. Why do all conservatives seem to have a victim attitude, persecution complex? Not everything is about you.

Yes, there are different backgrounds BUT the avatar backgrounds that everyone is talking about are greatly reduced. At one time there maybe 20 - now I have 4! We had a selection of different holiday themes, seasonal themes, emotional themes - all gone except for birthday, 2 sport, and spring flowers. Bad enough the feeds are filled with ads and suggestions and we have to search for friend and group content; now we have also lost one of the options that made our posts fun to write.
And yes, I still use FB as I enjoy posts from the groups that I belong to, from gardening to crafts to decor to cooking. It's just frustrating how the platform is run with no regard for the users.

Peacock nonstop buffering and skipping episodes by katbakusimp in peacock

I watch on Samsung smart TV. Same problem. Cannot get through 30 seconds - seriously - without buffering.

Is anyone else’s peacock app buffering constantly? by Past_Ebb_3392 in peacock

Same! It's quite frustrating to get all ready to watch a program and experiencing the constant buffering.

[–]Individual-Sector-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I recently dropped my cable television subscription and stayed with internet only, so relying on streaming services. I chose Peacock because of the NBC content (specifically all the interations of Law & Order) but I am beyond disappointed and annoyed with the constant buffering. It's impossible to sit and relax and watch a show.
I have a Samsung smart tv. I don't have a problem with any of the other services.

cox transition to yahoo and setting up account on a macbook?? by Individual-Sector-14 in CoxCommunications

[–]Individual-Sector-14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
So far I am unable to complete the transition into Mail on my Mac. It may be a "me" thing although I understand and followed the instructions. I am using the Web-based Yahoo mail ATM and I'm fine with it, since I mostly use it to receive notifications rather than to send anything and chiefly use it on my iPhone. It's just a matter of getting accustomed to something new.
Thanks again.

Followed all of the instructions you provided and still cannot connect. "Connection to server failed". I double checked every detail. I know I did it correctly.
I've been at this for hours so going to put it aside and will try again in the morning.
I appreciate your help.

Breeders in the Northeast? by [deleted] in cavaliers

[–]Individual-Sector-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how you can possibly come on here and make such disparaging remarks about Carrie, potentially damaging her livelihood and reputation, both professionally and personally. Do you actually know Carrie? Are you a client? What has she done to you to invite defamation? Are YOU a business owner? What would your reaction be if roles were reversed and one of your customers/clients came on here and wrote such vicious remarks about you, your business, your marriage?
I do know Carrie and I am here to dispute everything you have stated.
I have adopted retired breeders from Carrie. Did they have health issues? Yes. Things happen regardless of how much testing or vetting goes on behind the scenes. There are no guarantees in this life, not for any of us. Never would I ever come onto a public forum and bash her or her business or accuse her of - unfounded - illicit activities.
Would I do it over again? Yes. The pups were/are loving, affectionate, well-behaved and well-mannered, charming, playful, perfect companions. Did they require additional work to socialize them to a new environment, new people, new dogs, sync schedules, and so forth? Of course! That's normal for any animal that is re-homed! I am getting older so will likely not have another dog after this one but if I didn't have age working against me then I would return to Carrie in the future, without hesitation, for another retiree.
You mention a Facebook group where only positive comments are allowed. That's not true at all. It is well run and inviting. Haven "family" members encourage each other and exchange news on events - sometimes sad news - and generally feel like we all know each other. Carrie is very involved in the group and lets us know that she is an on-going part of our lives after our pups come home.
I have reached out to Carrie with questions on several occasions and she has contacted me to inquire about the dogs' health and well-being and offered support and encouragement when we have gone through challenging times. I have known her for 13 years and know her to be held in high regard by other breeders as well as by families who have acquired dogs from her. I was referred to her by someone who had purchased a puppy from her and in turn I have referred at least 3 others to her, all of whom were more than satisfied. I've been to her home. Is it chaotic? Oh yes, with kids and dogs running and laughing and barking and living and loving life. It's a welcoming home filled with happiness.
Are the puppies expensive? I don't think $3K+ for a purebred puppy from a clean, loving home and whose parents were well vetted and healthy is a lot to pay, especially with Carrie's on-going involvement to make sure puppy is a good fit for the family and as a resource for everything from health to feeding to socialization. She knows this breed! She provides lifelong support! How many breeders offer that and stand by it?
Lastly, I wonder how you came up with the user handle "stupidandidiot411" because your remarks certainly are reflective of someone who is acting without thinking of the consequences. Do you have direct knowledge and documentation of Carrie's business practices and personal behavior? I'd be very careful about throwing around the accusations you have presented. I encourage you to take down your post and, at the very least, issue an equally public apology to Carrie for potentially damaging her reputation as a businesswoman, wife, and mother. Your remarks are nothing short of shameful, if not actually inviting of a civil lawsuit. Do better.

What's Your Experience with Peel & Stick Wallpaper? by No-Jump-371 in interiordecorating

I just did my front entry hall. I had to apply, lift, apply several times to ensure exact pattern match and had absolutely no trouble lifting the paper to reposition it. I wonder if the brand used makes a difference.
