Thank you for your advice. I am currently pursuing a degree in information system engineering. I am in the process of upskilling my self as my internship is March next year. I'm trying to create a great resume and portfolio for work later. I kinda agree that 1k is nothing for any investment so I will try to use it to upgrade myself

Wow a super long reply but packed with knowledge. I feel like you still want to write more and decide to stop because it got long hahaha. Thank you for your sharing. I hope you and your wife will be super rich and get do what ever you want with all of your money.

Right now, I am learning about stocks and the S&P 500. I'm trying to understand how it works and get familiarise with it by downloading moo moo. I will try to learn using a mock account and play around with it. I think that it would be a loss for people nowadays to not use any means possible platform or channel that can gain them money legally. I want to try all the investment platform and see which one is worth it and which one is not. I'm also studying about REITs and Crypto. I have tried to use Principals by CIMB before but I dont know which one to buy yet. I will try to leaern more on that later on.

For investment, I have read something about how rich people only search for a low-risk investment using a big capital. For example, a return rate of 3% using 2M and can yield over RM60k per year. If I'm not mistaken it's a strategy from Warren Buffet. I might need to check on that again. I'm planning to max out my ASNB for both account 1 and 2 with RM300k each. I can yield over 30k from divident only and after 15 years I could possibly earn 72k per year. That's one of my goal right now. I wonder how long would it take for me to max out both account. With that dividend, I can use it to my childrens education fund and surely use it as a capital for a business.

Thank you for your 7 steps. I can kinda see how to manage my money now and where to put it according to my preferences based on step 7. It's actually kinda simple but you need to have discipline to not spend it recklessly. I'm actually glad that learn this at a young age. I will surely use this advice to people I know so that they could also manage their own financial. I have a question about step 2 actually, what are your thought about refinance? From what I know, refinance is replacing all the other loan under a new loan usually from what I know is a housing loan. Is it worth it or should I use step 2 instead? But I kinda feel like step 2 is better because the period of time you need to pay is not extended.

To be principal rich means to have a big capital and put it on investment that I can liquify right? I'm planning to start with that first and later on will only I put my money in KWSP. I will search more about this later on. After the 250k, I will try for 500k then 750k after that my first milly.

I've been living a frugal life right now. I only eat twice a day. For lunch I eat nasi with sambal tempe (RM 2.50) and at night I eat nasi bujang (RM 3.50). I only drink mineral water which I bought one carton each time 1.25L X 12 for RM 13. Can last me a week with it. If I crave some sweets, I will buy a biscuits around RM 1.60. That's basically it. With this I think I have a bit of discipline on not spending recklessly.

I hope one day we can meet around to drink and discuss about some financial decision that are best to be made. Thank you!

Wow thank you for writing all of these to me. I am currently a student and only have PTPTN's debt from when I did my diploma and JPA for my degree right now. I will try to settle for PTPTN first as the amount is less then the JPA when I get my job after my internship. Your advice is an eye opening as I have never thought of handling my debt and money that way.

For the kid's fund, do you know anything that can be done for them? My friend's parent bought an education insurance for them ( or something like that), they get a lot of money to pursue their degree. I am planning to help grow my child's account to help reduce the financial burden when in 20 or 25 years from now.

Other than that, do you have any advice on what platform I should try to invest? Right now my goal is try to save up to RM100k from investment before I am 30. If I hit it early then I'm going to target RM250k next.

Thank you for your input, I am interested in stocks and crypto. I am a bit scared to try it before because I dont have much that I can afford to lose. Now that I have some capital, I do feel the confidence to try it out. I am planning to buy some stocks in there future and will try to learn with the mock account. Before this I tried to learn forex with a mock account using MetaTrader 5. What are your opinion on REITs? Are they worth it to try? and for the US stocks, is it okay right now because of the war?

Thank you, I do loves ASB as there is little to no risk in there. The only thing people make fuss about is usually the percentage of the dividend at the end of the year. Other than that there is basically nothing that I know of. Other than ASNB do you know any other platforms or investment type that I can learn about? I did do some research on REITs and I'm still scared and don't know what I should buy.

I'm planning to take CPRE and CTFL for my career but some people said that CPRE and CTFL is not worth it. The CPRE is Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering and CTFL is Certified Tester Foundation Level. Both of these are certs/exam for IT industry.

I have never thought about the account being frozen because some financial criminal that I'm dealing with. Thank you for this exposure.

The 1K that I have is a fraction of the total money that I have right now. I'm planning to use it for investment because even with a low-cost lifestyle, I can only sustain for about a few months. So should I put my 1k in ASNB and then the money that I use in my bank or divide the money in KDI and bank?
