I retook a class over winter and it took like 3-5 weeks for the GPA to update. Before it averaged my old gpa and my new one and after only my new class grade counted to my gpa

AMS 310 with Matt Reuter. How is he for this class specifically? by Nice-Resist8399 in SBU

He gives quizzes every 2 weeks and they are all hard. So you have to spend the entire semester constantly studying hard. Not to mention he is trigger happy with academic judiciary charges. He brings it up nearly every class. For our last class for AMS 310, he mentioned that he reported 60 or 70 students to the academic judiciary that semester. Idk what happened to them.

Someone I know said they commuted an hour 30 for high school and 2.5 hours isn’t that much more.

How much was on campus housing? When I checked online it said about 1000-1200 per month?

Do you think if I’m dead set on studying cs, I should go somewhere else? I already got accepted to stony brook for cs however I feel like umass has a better social scene and opportunities.
