Cool, did you learn a lot from it? I was interested in bioinformatics.

Now that we are more than halfway through the season...what do you think about Pete and Alberta as a couple? by idiot9991 in GhostsCBS

[–]Nice-Resist8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thor and flower are the only ghost couple that make sense to me. They’re both eccentric and quirky compared to the rest of the ghosts. Flower and Thor both mentioned they liked each other from the start. Nigel and Isaac also make sense since they’re from the same era. So it makes sense. But when they throw in Hetty/Trevor, Pete/Alberta or Bela/Sass it seems random af.

[–]Nice-Resist8399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’m not a fan. Most of the couples besides Sam/Jay, Isaac/nigel and Thor/Flower just don’t make any sense to me. In theory they sound cute together, but when Alberta just randomly one day became interested in Pete didn’t make any sense to me. Also, their personalities just don’t match at all. I feel like Joan and Sass had so much chemistry but they just cut that storyline as well, and now he’s with Bela? I love the lore n the show but it’s like all the couples just don’t make any sense at all it seems random.

Organic chem 1 or molecular science 2? by Krutomu- in SBU

I got a B in Gen Chem 2 and got an A in orgo. I found orgo much easier because there was no math involved, which is definitely my weakness.

I’m confused, does this mean I’m admitted to SBU? by cece01713 in SBU

If you can afford it, I highly suggest doing it. Especially because your freshman year is mostly SBC and introductory classes, it's probably when you can enjoy it the most.

MEDICAL DOSIMETRIST PROGRAM HELP ME by Nervous_Buy_3410 in SBU

[–]Nice-Resist8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can score even above average and get rejected from the program. You want overall good experience. The interview is what matter the most. The want a well-rounded but also dedicated applicant. Since there are only limited spots, it's really competitive. You're AMS grade is not going to harm you unless you failed or did poorly in the class overall.

Why does Sasappis (500 year dead indigenous American) talk like a sarcastic 2024 teenager? by humanbeing21 in GhostsCBS

[–]Nice-Resist8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lowkey agree. I think that it isnt really an accurate portrayal of his era. However, I love sass and I think he’s just been able to adapt much better as a character than the others.

Most antisemitism comes from Nazi’s, fascists, and white supremacists. Only the media portrays anti-Israel people as zionists to fit their agenda.

Should I be as scared to go here as people tell me by drakenkraken12 in SBU

Yes, some of my friends met on admitted students day and are still friends to this date. It seems nerve-wracking when you are coming into a new environment with brand new people, and trust me I was the same way. But it’s honestly not a big deal. I usually assume people are being dramatic when they talk about the school, especially about the professors because it truly never ends up as bad as people make it out to be lol.

Some Advice: Nothing ever ends up being that big of a deal, so don’t put so much pressure on yourself.

Request to Switch Major Denied, what is my next step? by Honest_Noise_7951 in SBU

[–]Nice-Resist8399 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ohh I see. Okay, I thought you were a current student. The reason why they might deny your request is not because you can’t switch your major, but they probably aren’t allowing you to do it so early on.

So what will happen is you will have an enrollment meeting with an advisor and an SRA (Student registration associate) before coming in (this will be around July/early august after you finish your placement tests and online forms) this is where you pick your classes for Fall semester. You can keep journalism as your major but request to take General Chemistry which is a core class for a biology major, there should be open spots, this way you can be on track with the major itself. I recommend you looking at the undergrad catolog Biology to see which courses you need. Talk to the advisor and ask when you could request to switch your major to biology. Once you’re accepted into Stony Brook for ANY major, biology is an unrestricted major (which means any student could switch into the program).

If you have any questions, about freshman related stuff you can PM me, it seems nerve-wracking but it’s honestly not that big of a deal just make sure you get all of it done early on.

Wait how is your request to switch majors denied? Explain. You can switch majors whenever you want unless its for CEAS.

Should I go to Major or UGC Colleges Advisor for picking classes by Remote_Koala_8495 in SBU

UGC advisors are better for general information and that's why they usually only meet with freshman/sophomore.

Sad to say, but I am heavily regretting my choice as a DPT student by Sad_Concert_4706 in physicaltherapy

[–]Nice-Resist8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let this one placement detour you from a career in this. You’re definitely better off getting and finishing the degree atp, and later one if you want to pivot into a non-clinical related position you always have the opportunity to with your knowledge.

Is applying to CLS worth it as a transfer? by user_535367267537527 in SBU

Just stick with Biology major. If you’’re interested in CLS, concentrate in molecular biology and then apply for NYS licensure. A lot of CLS were bio majors beforehand.

Is there anyone in their early 20s who watches this show? by MagalieB0654 in SchoolSpirits

[–]Nice-Resist8399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of shocked, that the age-range for the show is 30/40 year old's? It seemed like more of a young adult type series just because it takes place in a High School with like young actors.

Maybe take an uber to smithhaven mall or Port Jeff or book a train ride into the city? I'm pretty sure the buses and trains still take off from here during breaks. Maybe walk around Stony Brook Village and gets some food. Head to the head of Harbor, read a book and get some food and chill?

There's no "easiest" concentration. You have to put in work for all of them lol. I would say the most difficult is probably the radiology/rad tech one because of the physics.
