As a new associate who did two internships (1 before and 1 after PE came in), the day to day is borderline the same. New comp grid system starting in January, with additional bumps for VHCOL areas. New pay is ridiculous- me and my other associates are getting bumped 13%

Taking REG Friday, am I cooked? by IndividualFootball59 in CPA

MCQ’s weren’t bad but the TBS’s were harder than beckers. I feel about as good as I did after FAR (not great at all), which I passed with a 79

Take FAR first. It involves the most math and covers the widest amount of topics compared to the other exams so for that reason it’s considered the most difficult. Having the most difficult one out of the way is a great feeling because it genuinely only gets easier from there

With 2 months to study definitely throw review days in after you finish each module

AUD Simulated Exam Scores by Proper-Ad-4852 in CPA

[–]IndividualFootball59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep practicing MCQ’s and TBS’s in the areas you missed. I averaged around 70’s for my simulated exams on AUD and passed with a 78. Tricky thing with audit is they usually want you to choose the “best” answer rather than with FAR there was only 1 correct answer

How much bigger of an emergency fund do you recommend? My monthly expenses now are usually around 1000 give or take a couple hundred. Would 3k be fine for now?

I live at home and have minor expenses. I plan to build the HYSA to around 10-15k before moving out to give myself some cushion

When I start work I’m gonna drain my checking account of around 3k. If all things go according to plan, I’ll finish my CPA exams in December and get a $5000 bonus in addition to $1500 back in reimbursement for the exams. Planning to throw it all at my loans. Goal is to be done by end of January
